Review #1312 – Castlevania: Order Of Ecclesia (Nintendo DS)

A 30-minute grievance disguised as a video review of Castlevania: Order Of Ecclesia for Nintendo DS. Played off the Castlevania Dominus Collection on Nintendo Switch.

There are some bits where the framerate tumbles, but otherwise it’s largely (theoretically) watchable. In any case, it’s done. We’re moving on.

Next.

Review #1309 – Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin (Nintendo DS)

Yeah, so what was supposed to be part of a year-ending trilogy of reviews has been pushed back to the go home week for Review #1300… and then THAT didn’t end up happening due to reasons, resulting in this being pushed back further.

In many ways, the pushback was a blessing of sorts, as I was able to go back and fix a couple things that I wasn’t too thrilled with (minor dub changes and such). In any event – and at the risk of spoiling things except not really – I had the most fun revisiting Portrait Of Ruin. It’s probably my favorite of the DS trilogy for reasons that I hope are communicated reasonably well enough in the video review, but the simple truth was that I was more into this game than I was the other two, especially moreso than the next one.

Next Friday, we shoot on Order Of Ecclesia.

And dat’s a SHOOT, brother.

Review #1270 – Game & Watch Collection (NDS)

Welp… we didn’t end things as intended, but on the other hand, aren’t you glad that we’re closing out 2025 on a slightly less miserable note than if we had done Ecclesia?

Anyway, here’s what a potential DS review would look like; old-school, rough looking camcorder shots with low audio quality. If you would like more of that, then I openly question your sanity… but we’ll see how it goes regardless.

Review #1268 – Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow (NDS)

Blame it on last minute X-Mas needs and delayed medical treatments taking longer than usual… as well as a much needed nap to catch up… but we got this out later than never… or is it better than nothing? In any event, we begin our descent into Dominus with the dawning of sorrows.
