First off, a belated Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians, as well as a tolerable Fourth Of July to our neighbors down south.
Now that we have that out of the way, the notes for this month, which basically amounts to a lightweight video schedule for the next couple months and nothing of real consequence. In regards to one particular piece of news that hit recently… yeah, I have thoughts and there’s a very good chance you’re not going to like what I have to say on the matter, but I’m saving those thoughts for later down the road.
VIDEO SCHEDULE
Well, we’re back on course tomorrow on the review front, which is nothing but relative small fry until maybe the last week of July, which has a remake of a prior review subject, an old DOS game, and some mystery meat that even I don’t know about but will update accordingly when I find out. Beyond that… maybe there’s a live show in a week or two. Maybe there’s something else… but videos aren’t coming in heavy until September. More details when they are available… which, at this very moment, are not.

PPV MUSINGS – BEGINNING MY ROAD TO BOUND FOR GLORY
Tomorrow, we begin our run through the Bound For Glory chronology, the flagship TNA show from its original 2005 show to possibly this year’s iteration. Unlike the RambleMania Redux run from a couple years back, these will be weekly postings, which means that if you have no interest in seeing TNA going from a company with promise to a company on the rocks to a company with a second wind to whatever the fuck it is these days… well, I hope the video review every Wednesday will be more to your likings because this is going to drive that hump for the next couple months. After that, who knows?
TEMPORARY PAUSE OF WILY CHALLENGES
A new Mega Man Maker level or two might pop up along the way, but right now, I’m mostly focused on other stuff at the moment. I’m also considering recording a few runs in advance so that when I’m ready to resume these things on a regular basis (which will probably be in late-August/early-September), that’ll be a fun time.
DUDE, WHERE’S MY MAILBAG?
In case you didn’t catch the last one, DTM Mailbag is on hiatus until September 6th. I may (or may not) do one in August, but as far as July goes… radio silence on that front.
VINTAGE VIDEO UPDATE
This is less a scheduling thing and more of an archival thing, but I thought that I should let you folks know that all the 2016 reviews have been updated with new video uploads on Youtube. These include new title cards, thumbnails, and some mild edits here and there. The expanded Super Legends review that was once exclusive to the Dailymotion page is now available on YT for the first time, with a couple more extra edits. Amazingly, the CHAVEZ review – which features GONK music – went through without a hitch. Which is nice because the raw files for that project went kaput years ago and having to rebuild that from scratch would have been a bloody nightmare.
I’ve been in the process of restoring the 2015 reviews at the moment (at present count, I’m almost at the half way point up to the two Batman Forever reviews – which are the same edits from the Bat Guano Forever collection that was posted a year or so back. After that, there’s a fairly good chance I’ll be going back to finish the lot of 2012 reviews
