Review #1378 – Buzz Bombers (Intellivision)

Actually, you know what? Screw it. You get it early.

This was literally cooked up in less than an hour. Roughly 10-15 minutes worth of quick gameplay to get a feel, coming up with words in about half the time, doing the dub, assembling the piece in Vegas, rendering and uploading all this morning before I spot off to the rest of the day. It’s not perfect, but it’s… well, you know.

Review #1377 – Donkey Kong (Intellivision)

The true horror lies in the fact that someone at Coleco considered this to be acceptable. Setting aside the (largely disproved) urban legend of Coleco making non-Coleco ports purposefully awful to make their own console version look better, it amazes me how someone at Coleco thought that THIS was good enough for Intellivision owners.

Alas, here we are… for better or worse. Mostly worse.

Review #1327 – Shark! Shark! (Intellivision)

A video review of the almighty Intellivision classic, Shark! Shark!

Yes, so the first of several Intellivision reviews to be featured this month – closing a year-and-a-half long drought in that department. And also being played on the new Intellivision Sprint console… which means all that footage of the cart being inserted into the Intellivision II is just for show and means absolutely nothing… but hey, it’s the thought that count.

So I’m letting this go up earlier than usual because I figured, “Sure, why not?” That tends to happen every so often.

Review #1100 – Tron: Solar Sailer (Intellivision)

It took eleven hundred reviews to get to a game where I have to write down things that a computer told me to write down. Can I go back to playing BEE SEVENTEEN BAWMBEHR?

Screw it. No reviews next week, but the week after begins the October marathon. Quality stuff there, I promise you… not really.
