Rerez. Tallarico. Intellivision. No Plimpton.

So the folks at Rerez did an interview with longtime video game composer, Electric Playground co-host, Video Games Live guy, and current Intellivision head honcho Tommy Tallarico to discuss Intellivision’s upcoming Amico console that’s due to be released in the year 2020. It’s a rather good interview that covers most of the bases and concerns that some might have regarding the console. Hence, why I opted to post it here on this blog.

I’ll provide my own thoughts and feelings on the project somewhere down the line, but the interview got me intrigued enough to follow its progress. In short, these guys seem to know what they’re doing and that’s a good sign to any product’s success and longevity.

Marc0's Decline Of Gaming Video From 20XX

Marc0, the former Armake21, once made a video on the decline of gaming that actually made some very good points. In lieu of a “proper” video upload, I decided to embed said video – hosted on the ArmakeArchive channel – present it here… for as long as it’s up until it’s no longer there and then I have to replace the video with something else ten years down the line.

I bring this up because I felt like it.

EPIC MATCH! Kenny Omega Vs. Undetaker! In WWE Video Game.

“Granny gave this a 4.”
-Bryan Alvarez

An old 2017 video from Youtuber GLORY ACID is talked about on the latest episode of the Bryan And Vinny Show. For those who haven’t heard the episode in question, Bryan’s grandmother – who does a weekly segment on the show where she reviews wrestling matches – came across a match between Kenny Omega and Undertaker that baffled the hosts because both work for different promotions. And then they found the video above.

So now you can see for yourself is the match was really worth the “4” that Granny gave it. Chances are Dave Meltzer would give this 4 1/2 stars because Kenny Omega is in it. And if it were Tokyo Dome, add 5 more stars or something.

Are we killing this joke dead yet? I think we might have.

ReviewTechUSA Interviews El Reg Reporter Who Killed Ataribox (Not Really)

Courtesy of Rich of ReviewTechUSA, an interview with the man, the myth, the legend that is The Register’s own Kieren McCarthy, the so-called vulture who interviewed the Atari people about the Ataribox, wrote a hilarious yet brutally honest article about the lack of information regarding the product that Atari eventually claimed was a troll tactic, which prompted El Reg to release the full audio interview to the Interwebs, which has caused a significant stall in the Ataribox campaign.

On June 23, at 2 a.m., the campaign had reached $2,922,479, which was probably the highest it had reached up to this point. Roughly four days later at this very moment, it went down to $2,909,555. There’s always a possibility that the campaign will break three million – a lot can happen in three days, after all – and despite this mishap, the project has already made its money, so they should be ready to go.

But after hearing about Atari’s other failed ventures and abandoned concepts, I’m even more skeptical than before as to whether they can or even will pull this off. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

MMA Fighter Guy Chael Sonnen Roasts Former MMA Diva Ronda Rousey

The context: Former UFC Diva Ronda Rousey did a couple interviews with ESPN where they asked about her future in the MMA circuit and Rousey dodged the questions. While this might seem like a dickish move on the part of the hosts to touch on a part of her life that she doesn’t want to touch, there’s also another side of the story, as MMA fight guy Chael Sonnen explains in the video.

My take? I really have none since I haven’t seen the interviews in question. I have seen Ronda in other interviews and… well, vapid charisma vacuum is perhaps the most generous statement I can levy her way. So, I don’t know. I can’t agree or disagree.

This Chael fellow? Hell of a promo in this video. Why isn’t he signed to an acting gig? He’s got talent.

The Has Been – A digital series by Amy Jo Johnson

A teaser for a proposed digital series about an aging actress whose best days are behind her and is left with endless debts. The more this video is shared, the more likely this will get funding. I don’t know how exactly that works, but the series premise shows promise and I wouldn’t mind watching something like this on a regular basis.

But only if there’s a spin-off starring JDF.
