First month of June… summer is around the corner and that means… nothing in particular. No wrestling posts and a tepid collection of video reviews before we end the month on a blue blur.
The week of June 27th to July 4th will be devoid of video content or anything remotely relevant, but it won’t be devoid of content period, as I’ll be posting a new Flash Fiction entry every day… by which I mean, this stuff was done months ago and will be published on a daily basis from the 27th to the 3rd. No content on the 4th of July because fuck our neighbors in the south for that week in particular before we go back to loving them again… or however we’re supposed to feel by the time that rolls around.
Anyhoo, more detailed update information after the break

NO WRESTLING MUSINGS THIS MONTH
Last week, I concluded my WCW Monday Nitro journey with the first regular two-hour edition of the program, which was always the endgame for this project and… here we are. This month will see a wrestling moratorium that’ll last for the whole month… which, in fairness, isn’t hard to do.
Starting next month, however, we kick off a project that I’ve wanted to do for a while, but never got the chance to do: watch every single edition of TNA Wrestling’s annual Bound For Glory event. With the exception of last year’s event since we’ve already covered that one, we’ll be going through each and every one, including the couple that I’ve sampled years ago, which will either undergo a massive rewrite or just a straight repost with some mild changes to adjust for time and things. And who knows? Once we reach the end of it all, we’ll probably give this year’s edition another watch and see how much WWE influence will ruin that show too. Those begin on July 7th and should be a fun ride.
VIDEO BREAK BUT WRITTEN MATERIAL FORTHCOMING
So, as mentioned, no videos on the week of June 28th to July 4th, but there will be written material forthcoming. You’ll have to wait and see, but for long time visitors of this web space going back to the OLD old days, it’ll be something of a throwback.
OTHER STUFF HAPPENED, I GUESS
Quite a significant bunch of business behind the scenes as far as vintage content is concerned, brought about mostly due to issues.
The most notable thing is that I’ve finally finished publishing the few outstanding comic reviews from 2002-2005 that were missing banners and a bit of polishing up. Now you’ve got well over a hundred vintage comic reviews, including a few that I found that were written ages ago and completely forgotten about, such as the short-lived Game Boy series that Valiant put out. I forgot that I was going to post these for the 25th Anniversary of Game Boy and they got lost until recently. Please check those out.
Reorganized the Video Game Review menus so that there are fewer entries on each page. Each page should have somewhere between 200-250 reviews spanning 2 to 4 years, depending on the volume per year. This is in light of the reality that if things continue consistently, this year might produce more reviews than past years and I’d very much like to not overload one page with well over 300 video links. Now the stretch with the most reviews is 2016-2019 at 260 reviews. The 2025-2026 may very well eclipse that, but we’ll see. Even so, it’s a work in progress.
And that’s about it. Next month’s State Of The Blog won’t hit until July 5th. See you then and enjoy your national holidays… or not. I really don’t care.
Later.
