I didn’t think that I’d be doing two games that I used to play on an old handheld thing that is now dearly departed… funny how things work out.
Next week is Sonic… and Rip.

Despite the name, Bomber Raid does not ape the style of another game involving the bombing of ground targets… which is a shame because it would have been the more interesting game. Oh well…
But yeah, we’re veering away from Intellivision for a spell to toss out a couple Master System reviews that have been just sitting there. And also, it’s no fun just ragging on Intellivision hard for three straight weeks, not when there’s Sega hardware to rag on.
Feeling a disturbance, alright…
Yes, we’ve shifted gears from our originally intended 1300th review (which will now be 1400th) to a Star Wars game on Master System that… is the only Star Wars on Master System and will hopefully be the thing that gets me to covering that Game Gear version of Star Wars that is much more interesting.
Just so we’re clear, the “faux THX” sounding sound is the Super Mario World keyhole sound effect stretched out to last longer than it actually does. So if anyone should CID’ing this thing, it’s da Mario, not the Mouse. The mouse can fly a kite up… well, you know.
Kicking off Double Dragon On Sega week with the Master System version of Double Dragon that people say is better than the NES version… well, I don’t know about that, for sure, but it sure as shit is better than the Atari versions. Those are awful.
Just play Chase HQ and be done with it.
There are no rising from the grave that is Master System overseas obscurity.
Taste the rainbow, don’t shoot it, you cretin!
Nintendoes what Mark-III does not… eh.
Yep.
The Master System port of Steel Cage Challenge is no different from the Game Gear version other than the wider resolution, so this made it an easy choice to recycle audio.
