Take Bubble Man and drain all the water and you get some of the same level with normal jumping and more frog things. As an added kick, there’s also a bit of a segment taken from Mega Man 4’s Wily Stage 1… which also happens to be devoid of water.

A more recent experiment, where I attempt to combine segments of both NES and Game Boy versions of Fire Man’s level. No charge, no slide, and only three weapons… with only one support item that you can gain near the mid-point.
