Here’s A Teaser For The Extra Bits

Weekly “vintage” material to be posted every Thursday until I run out of things I actually want people to see… though mind you, we may have jumped that shark a decade ago…

And yes, I repurposed an old Dailymotion update video that bares no relevancy to the material on hand into promoting something more current. Enjoy the show.

All Eight Episodes Of DTM’s Gaming Reflections Up On Extra Bits

So back in 2009, when I was deciding what I wanted to do with this Youtube thing, I recorded some audio tracks for a potential video idea where I would talk about games. Not just “review” them or whatever the case may be, but share my thoughts and personal experiences with some of these games. I did about eight of these videos before abandoning the concept and attempting the review contest thing. These videos, which were never in a state of readiness save for maybe a couple, largely stayed dormant in the archives.

Some folks may recall one of these being uploaded (to Dailymotion) and featured here. When the Dailymotion culling began, the thought occurred to give the remaining episodes one last polish (and appropriate updates) before rendering them and making them available for viewing… for better or worse.

At the moment, all eight episodes of DTMGR are up and available for viewing for the blog visitors. I might consider making these a regular feature for the Extra Bit viewers if I can possibly schedule these to go public on a weekly basis. Possibly by the end of the month, there’ll be a proper page to view these things, but for now, you’ll have to settle for this link.

Who knows? Maybe someday, I’ll revisit the concept down the road.

Farewell Dailymotion

Uploaded the last Dailymotion video shortly after finishing the stream to basically announce that 2026 will be the final year that channel will exist in some form or fashion. For the sake of preservation, I’ve uploaded that video here, where it will no doubt been seen by (slightly) more people.

As it relates to this space, I’m in the process of moving some of the old (now formerly) Dailymotion-exclusive content over to the Extra Bits channel. Some of which will be for the Youtube public while others will be unlisted and blog exclusive. Some of these things will see a former edit or two to keep things Content ID friendly, though these are things you could see elsewhere on the main channel, anyway, so it’s not a huge loss.

Anyway, the Dailymotion page is on the verge of setting… it’s been a fun ride, but all good things must come to an end.

Rewatch #1200 Before #1337 Hits

Yes, you’ve already seen this before. But let’s remind people that on this day last year, after over 500 reviews since we did the first game, we finally reviewed Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on Sega Genesis. Honestly, anything more at this point should have been scrubbed from memory, but now that I’ve played more than enough Sonic The Hedgehog to last a lifetime…

I’m giving things away, aren’t I?

Anyway, you can scroll down and watch the Sonic CD review if you want, but I might do a replay of that in a little bit. In the meantime, Sonic 3 should be up later tonight while Sonic & Knuckles is up tomorrow night. After that, no new video until next Sunday.
