WCW Monday Nitro (May 20th, 1996) – A Nothing Show Of A Nitro

Word of warning: this episode of Nitro is ninety minutes long.

Not much to say about this show. There’s a bunch of matches and a few interview bits, but it’s an otherwise unremarkable show beyond the runtime. Steiners defeated Fire & Ice in the opening tag match, Ric Flair defeated Eddie Guerrero in a fun match, Sting and Lex Luger successfully defended their titles against the Faces Of Fear (Meng and Barbarian) in a surprisingly good match, DDP beats Brad Armstrong in a short match before bitching about not getting a title shot, and the main event is the Giant beating the tar out of Arn Anderson before getting crotched in the corner, allowing Arn get a few shots in before getting CHOKESLAMMED to give Giant the win.

Next week is the big show… and I don’t mean Paul Wight…

Also next week, a word on the future of this project…
