Welp, it’s my birthday… again…
A year away from 40.
Kept it close to the family – ordered out, had a bit of cake, the gifts were nothing special, but at this point, I’m just happy to get this birthday business out of the way.
It’s at this point where I’m supposed to get closer to feeling that midlife crisis that I often hear about, but the truth is I may have had that crisis back in my 20s when I contemplated life and wanting nothing to do with it. Funny how the state of the world we’re in has me reflecting on a time when the world was in a far better place than my head space was.
That struggle continues to this day… it may never end… but we keep going…
Yeah, that’s all I’ve got.
