YouTube VLOG Annual 2010 – Volume 1

So I made the decision to start compiling a lot of my older YouTube VLOGs into longer “annuals” of sorts for the Dailymotion audience as sort of an archive. The plan was originally to upload these as single videos, but that seemed redundant. So here are compilations.

2010 was the first year I did VLOGs and includes “gems” such as my unboxing of the Retron 3, the “parody” of that Stand Up For WWE campaign, and yes, the “infamous” rant on Angry Joe’s VGA debacle that has made (and continues to make) fanboys rage. You’ll have to wait until Volume 2 for those gems (except the Retron 3 one; that’s in Volume 1).

SvR2006 (PS2) – The Hulkster Trifecta

WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2006 for PS2 features three different versions of Hulk Hogan; modern-day “Old” Hogan, Hollywood Hogan, and the 80s Hulkster. All three versions are tossed into a triple-threat match against each other. Who wins? The answer’s rather obvious, ain’t it?

Either way, it works for the Huckster, brutha!

Fun With The Sonic Generation Demo

It doesn’t look optimal, good, or anything resembling “high definition” in any real sense, but it looks good enough for my needs and I’ve always preferred to produce videos quickly and not tax the system for any real HD-quality stuff that ultimately means nothing.

That being said, I’m looking into ways to improve the quality of video somewhat to make sure that when I do older games, it looks about as good as what I’d get from DVD rips or something. Here’s hoping.

Expect another DM-based vid tomorrow as well as a separate vid for the YT crowd.

The newsbit of particular note and facepalm worthiness is as follows;

The infamous Rob Black will be bringing back his XPW promotion on October 31st in Los Angeles. The event will feature a 12-man tournament for the XPW Title with names being announced soon.

For those who don’t know, here’s a very brief and very truncated primer; X-treme Pro Wrestling was a wrestling promotion that was first started in 1999 by porn producer Rob Zicari a.k.a. Rob Black. Apparently, Black presented XPW the same way he allegedly presented his porn: it was garbage, bullshit wrestling with plenty of nonsensical violence and plenty of trash in both the literal and figurative sense of the word. You know how some people liked to refer to the old ECW as Extremely Crappy Wrestling? XPW lived up to its moniker as X-tremely Putrid Waste. The company “supposedly” got better in its later years when it moved to the East Coast and Shane Douglas was champion, but from I saw of one of the XPW compilation discs released in recent years when the footage was under the control of one of those DVD companies, I saw nothing of the sort to confirm that conception. It was still pretty crap.

Somewhere along the way, Black got busted for obscenity charges and XPW was subsequently shut down in 2003. Black served his time and is now back to restart the company and run regular shows and stuff…

So… yeah. XPW is coming back, huh? Um… yeah, color me uninterested. Oh, I’m sure there are some mutants that’ll be happy to see this crap come back. But… bleh. No thanks.

RAW (June 24th, 2013) – Skipped Most Of Raw… Stayed For The Wrestling

Nothing exciting happened on RAW last night for the most part… more bickering McMahons, another John Cena promo nobody cares about, a Mark Henry promo, and announcing the folks in that MiTB match thing. Del Rio/Ziggler wasn’t a bad match, though, but the highlight was the main event match between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton that ended the fucking show. Imagine that; RAW closing out with a honest-to-god wrestling match. And it was a good one too. Came in skipping the fluff, stayed for the wrestling, very happy with the match.
