First Look At The VR Troopers Reboot!

From Entertainment Weakly… er, I mean, Weekly comes your first look at the new VR Troopers reboot film that nobody knew was filming and thus was a total surprise. They’re not bad looking, but I’m somewhat confused by the decision to expand the Trooper team from three members to five. Also, I don’t get the reason why they modeled the Troopers’ colors off that other Ameri-toku-esque thing that’s more popular and stuff, but this picture surely has me excited for that VR Troopers movie.

Now if only Lionsgate can get around to showing the suits for the upcoming Power Rangers film, that would make things even sweeter!

For Anyone Who Cares… SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE on PC

Now available on GOG.com.

For those wondering, this is the proper PC release with high-resolution graphics and bad voice acting. Now people can bitch about this game being bad with a higher quality version than the N64 version.

Or maybe they can actually, you know, enjoy the game.

Be nice, I guess.

By the way, I sampled the game for a bit. Maybe it’s just me, but it feels a bit too quick compared to the N64 version. Not quite sure if this is a good thing or not, but I can tell you that playing with a 360 gamepad is a considerable upgrade from the Nintendo 64 controller. Make of that what you will, kids.

No More Milhouse in WWE

WWE has reportedly come to terms on the release of former NXT announcer Rich “Milhouse” Brennan. We wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors. On the bright side, Kevin Owens’ head will probably hurt a lot less now that Milhouse isn’t around to make it worse with his face or something.

Yes, this is the first wrestling-related post I’ve made since March. Imagine that.

Any word on that Mighty No. 9 thing?

Last I heard about it, it was getting delayed – again – due to bugs in their networking features. And that was a couple months ago. Since then, not a peep.

It seems really sad that what was once touted as a successor to the dormant Mega Man franchise has become something of a joke. Somewhere along the way, the people behind Mighty No. 9 must have decided to forgo making an effort and skip to the part where the game laid dormant for years and nothing was being done with it. It’s almost as though they thought a promise of a game that was reminiscent of a beloved classic (from one of the minds behind said beloved classic) would be enough to get people to give money now and ask questions later, but instead, people are second guessing the project.

This is why I’m weary of Igarashi’s Bloodstained project or even the Shenmue III thing. They got the funding in a short amount of time, but one wonders if they will actually deliver their project on schedule (Bloodstained currently set for March of next year, not sure about the Shenmue one) or if it will meet the same fate as Mighty No. 9 and be delayed over and over until the end of time?

This was a random thought that popped up. I honestly don’t know what made me think this up, but there you go.
