WWF In Your House #26: Rock Bottom

“The Rock’s birthday is May 2nd, you stupid son of a bitch!”
-The Rock

Today is the Rock’s birthday, you stupid son of a bitch. And to celebrate the occasion, I decided to check out the only PPV named after the People’s Champ – the December 1998 edition of the WWF In Your House PPV series dubbed, appropriately enough, Rock Bottom. Though to be fair, this show isn’t as bad as I’m making it sound from the get-go; there’s a couple fun bits here and there, but I think it’s safe to say that this isn’t exactly one of the finer moments of the much-vaunted WWF Attitude Era.

ECW One Night Stand 2005

The era of extreme is revived for one night only… well, two if you count the Hardcore Homecoming show that took place the night before, but that’s not the focus of today’s post.

Saw That Endgame Movie…

So, for those who care, I ended up watching that Endgame movie over the weekend and I’ll just say that as a film that concludes eleven years worth of cinematic continuity, it was satisfying enough. Without dipping too much into spoilers, everything is tied up with a nice little bow and there’s some of the usual big spectacles with everyone all over the place, the usual assortment of funny jokes along with some not-so-funny jokes, and they found a way to write off the folks who no longer have contracts to do more movies.

I suppose the question now would be what’s next… and at the moment, I don’t know for sure if that question has been answered or if there’s any indication of that in the upcoming Spider-Man film due later this year or so… but for now, I guess we can all follow the Avengers box office after its billion dollar global debut box office obliteration.
Or… maybe you can follow it. I’ve got better things to do.

DTM-Cast – Episode #091

What was supposed to feature a nice little ramble on the recent season of the recent Trek venture ended up being a shortened episode where I discovered the spring cold and could do fuck all with it. Nevertheless, I managed a brief episode where I’ve at least touched on the upcoming Konami Castlevania collection, as well as share some quick personal anecdotes.
