Playstation 4 Surpasses Wii Lifetime Sales. Happy Halloween.

So the Playstation 4 has now officially sold more units than the original Nintendo Wii, making it the second-best selling home video game system of all time, trailing by a considerable margin behind the Playstation 2, which sits comfortably at the 150 million plus mark. Only time will tell if that milestone will be reached, but this is something to be commended, especially after the mismanagement of PS3.

Congratulations, Sony. I’d offer a “you deserve it” chant, but that means nothing these days. So here’s a No-Prize, instead.

WCW Halloween Havoc 1997

Happy Halloween, ladies and gentlemen.

Fancy a wrestling show tomorrow, but don’t want to subject yourselves to WWE Blood Money IV or whatever the fuck it’s called? Well, I’ve got a treat for you, for today, we’ll be looking at a truly horrifying PPV event called Halloween Havoc, brought to you by our dearly departed friends at World Championship Wrestling. Today’s musings will be covering the 1997 iteration of the show, which features Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match.

DTM House Shows – Mega Man II (GB) (October 29th, 2019)

Playing Mega Man II (GB) from beginning to end. All the while complaining about people complaining about weakness weapons, making odd observations, and not paying attention to anything on-screen. Fun times to be had by all, I suppose.

Yes, there is an annoying buzzing sound near the beginning… but eventually it goes away.

It Took AEW Five Episodes To Feature A Contract Signing

So it was announced that this coming episode of AEW Dynamite will not only feature the tournament finals to determine the first set of AEW Tag-Team Champions in a match between the Lucha Bros and SCU, but there was also be a CONTRACT SIGNING between Cody and Chris Jericho for their upcoming Full Gear PPV title match. Bless their hearts; it only took them five whole episodes to reach a time filler, but there you go.

Fortunately, I’ve been enjoying this ride so much that I’m rather keen on how their contract signing will turn out. My hopes aren’t high for this segment because I’ve not seen a really good one since maybe the one where CM Punk was chewing out Vince about the ice cream bars, but if they could get Dippin’ Dots over in a brawl, I guess I shouldn’t be concerned all that much here. We’ll see.

AEW Dynamite (Oct. 23rd, 2019): That Dippin’ Dots Had A Family Dammit!

A little later than usual, I’ve had a long night and just finished watching the show on DVR… but regardless, here’re my thoughts on this fascinating Dynamite show… still the easiest two hours of wrestling as far as I’m concerned.

Enough talk; let’s get to it. Continue reading “AEW Dynamite (Oct. 23rd, 2019): That Dippin’ Dots Had A Family Dammit!”

Watch Steve Austin Sell You A Video Game

From the WWE ’13 hype train all those years ago. Not only does Steve Austin deliver a fine promo towards the end of the video as only he could, but he also does a better job of selling me on the video game than all these other geeks have done lately.

Take notes, geeks. This is how you sell a fucking game.
