Review #1250 – Hell’s Kitchen: The Game: Le Jeu (Wii)

You would think that a Gordon Ramsay-endorsed video game with voice bytes from the man himself would be an exciting proposition… but alas, it turned out to NOT be the case. As such, rather than being treated as something with pomp, circumstance, pyro, ballyhoo, and whatever hyper hyperbole terms you wish to apply, this is just the usual video review effort that every other game gets.

In other words, keep your expectations exceedingly low and you’ll be fine… much like today’s subject matter, strangely enough.

Actually, I’m glad I held off on the Tuesday upload because a recent session of play actually highlighted a couple more points that were added just before the rendering process. The end result was something that turned a subpar seven minute review into a slightly more par ten minute review.

Review #1249 – Chronicles Of The Wolf (Switch)

In any reality other than the one depicted in this game, the French would have surrendered ages ago. Yes, I’m still making these jokes in 2025. And yes, they’re still relevant.

On a side note, I recently discovered that the people behind this game also made that Wallachia: Reign Of Dracula game I picked up ages ago. I considered giving that go for the week, but decided I needed more time than I already had, so I’m saving it for another time. Maybe next year, I guess…

So yeah, it’s a day late, so I’m not making you wait until 12:30 p.m. You can have this early.

Gordo, on the other hand, demands that you wait.

Review #1245 – Wayne Gretzky And The NHLPA All-Stars (Super NES)

Back in the 90s, during the height of his career, Wayne Gretzky played in Pac Land and was made honorary Pac-Man for the day… thus this fits whatever Pac theme we’ve inadvertently followed here.

But yeah, this was a quick one that I wanted to get out of the way for a while and this seemed like the perfect spot to slot it in before we get to the heavy stuff.

Next week, we return to the world of widescreen… save for one or two diversions along the way.

Review #1244 – Pac-In-Time (Super NES)

From bumbling hero to shorty, stubby character… is that a good thing for the ol’ Puck Man?

Before anyone decides on dibs, Friday’s review isn’t Shadow Labyrinth; I don’t have the game. And it’s also not a Pac-Man game unless I somehow get that 7800 Double Feature this week rather than having to wait until December.

From there, it’s back to the “spooky” stuff before the week long marathon of… stuff.
