Review #918 – Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow (Game Boy Advance)
The one set in the future for fuck’s sake.
Review #917 – Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance (Game Boy Advance)
Koji Igarashi’s debut GBA Igavania is… a thing that exists… or a precursor to supposed greatness… your choice…
Review #916 – Castlevania: Circle Of The Moon (Game Boy Advance)
So yeah, the Advance Collection came out and it’s fine. Considered using that for HD quality footage, but that would take a long time and these reviews are ready to go now, so you get vintage footage, instead. Enjoy.
Review #915 – Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night (PSX)
Oh yeah… we’re going there.
Honestly, the fact that we’ve gotten to the point where I can feel comfortable sharing my true feelings on games that are considered bonafide classics and not giving a fuck about the backlash is rather gratifying. I mean, look. I’m not getting to Youtube superstardom or anything like that. Not aiming for that. I’d rather be me and have a few folks around to watch me share “bad” takes than a whole bunch of yes-person stragglers subscribe because I said something they agreed with.
So, no, I don’t hold Symphony in high regard. I still think it’s a good game, but this is one relic I refuse to worship for the sake of… what? I don’t know.
Anyway… moving on.
Review #914 – Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP)
True story: This was the video review that was too hot for Dailymotion last year, but Youtube took it without issue… AND with no changes to the content whatsoever. Pretty much the thing that convinced me to just stick with the Youtube thing.
Also, wave the flag in hoping Symphony moves past the Sony ecosystem and onto other systems. You know, for the fans.
Review #913 – Dracula: The Resurrection (PC)
The first of five Microid Dracula games… one day, we’ll cover the rest.
I don’t know when… just… one day.
Review #912 – Odallus: The Dark Call (Switch)
Surprisingly solid game.
Review #911 – Vampire Hunter D (PSX)
Based on a cult anime thing that may or may not have inspired the Castlevania series.
Review #910 – Zero Wing (Mega Drive)
All your memes are belong to me. Also, play this game, you assholes.
