The Bat Guano Forever Special Edition

For your viewing (dis)pleasure as well as mine – and also as a prelude for tomorrow’s video review offering – a compilation of previously uploaded video reviews of the Batman Forever video game that graced Super NES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, and Game Gear. Originally uploaded 2014-2015, which means they’re 9-10 years old. Fuck me.

This was previously posted on the Dailymotion page and I think it’s still available, but this is a new edit with slightly new tweaks and a slight sampler for things to come.

NOTE: This has been listed as a DTM House Show special event, but it is not an actual live show; just a rebroadcast of old material. There is news of a new House Show coming soon-ish. Keep an eye out.

DTM-Cast – Episode #255

Click here to download the MP3.

The penultimate edition of the “prestigious” and “bowel-moving” DTM-Cast audio program is a treat for the masses, as I fumble through THREE GODDAMNED HOURS of random questions stuffing up the Question Box gimmick of the blog. If you ever wanted the most incoherent, rambling nonsense three hours of all time, this could be a contender.

One more episode left to go and it’s all over.

AEW Double Or Nothing 2024

For anyone wondering why it’s taken me this long to post musings on this show, it’s because it’s taken me this long to WATCH said show.

Double Or Nothing 2024 is a near-five hour sloth. I’ve heard good things, but the one takeaway was “it’s too damn long.” And when I heard the runtime for this thing, I said, “No thanks. Not for me.” And even when my buddy loaned me his DVD recording of the show to watch some time afterwards, I simply didn’t have the stomach to sit through that entire show. Even on a card built on great wrestling, there comes a point where you can only watch so much before it becomes an afterthought. And that’s probably the big takeaway with this show. See it in one shot and by the end of the show, you’re mostly clockwatching. Watch it in bits and pieces and you can start to appreciate the individual pieces.

That was my approach with this show; watch a match or two a day and get back to the rest another time. That way, I have a greater appreciation for the quality of the matches and such, whereas even splitting it in a couple days worth of viewing, something would’ve been off. So bare in mind when reading this that I’m watching this show in bits and pieces because that’s the only way I could digest this thing. Trying to do this in one shot… eh, I don’t have that in me anymore, regardless of the actual quality.

The Rest Of Saturday Night’s Main Event

On Sunday morning, I posted my reaction to the complete justified actions of one Kevin Owens to the American person, Cody Rhodes. I won’t repeat those here and will instead direct you to said post if you want to read on those again. I will add that if Armed Anderson had been around, there’d be some justice ’round these parts.

However, this is more show to talk about and I did watch the rest of the show, which was a bunch of matches within a throwback setting.

Suck Shun Terty Von

Paramount released another trailer for their Section 31 movie that’s coming out next January… and I will give them credit on delivering a better second trailer that gives me more of a sense of what this thing might be about. I’m still not sold on this movie, it still looks like low-rent trash and not the good kind that’s fun to make fun of, but at the very least, they’ve got a better sales pitch with this second trailer.

Am I more likely to watching this after having seen this trailer? Probably not – right now, I’m more than likely going to be holding out on word of mouth. If people say that it’s better than the trailers make it out to be, then maybe I’ll give it a watch. Otherwise, I’ve got a pup to house train and she doesn’t care about Suction 62.

Just because it says Star Trek on the tin doesn’t mean I’m guaranteed to watch it.

EDIT: Premature posting meant wrong video embed. That’s been fixed. Also, while I generally don’t do this, I was curious about the like/dislike ratio for this thing on Youtube and…

To the 2.4K folks who liked this, I truly hope you get a film worth your time. To the rest of you… well, there’s always the old shit to rewatch. That’s what I tend to do these days.
