RAW (Jan. 30th, 2012) – The World Does NOT Need Taker/HHH I Lost Count
A couple quick thoughts on last night’s RAW
* First off, it was awfully nice of WWE to book a CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan Danielson match. Would have been nice if the match had closed the show instead of HHH showing up and giving me a reason to go to bed early at the end. The match was really good stuff while it lasted, only for Chris Jericho to make his move and throw a damper on things. Punk/Jericho should be pretty interesting, to say the least… but this makes me more hungry for another go between Punk and Bryan.
* Mike Tyson into the WWE Hall Of Fame… well, it’s better than Drew Carey, that much I’ll tell you.
* Oh, boy. Another HHH/Taker match at Wrestlemania… BOOORRRIIINNNNGGGGG…. And speaking of which, apparently Johnny Ace is still gonna be around. LAME.
Not really much to say, but the show was alright. I stayed awake, at least.
Factor 5 And FC Twin Clone Showcase
Pictured on the left: the short-lived Factor 5 clone video game console, which came with a multicart that didn’t function… at all. Thus eliminating any reason to buy the console beyond the novelty of a “nicer” looking Famiclone.
Pictured on the right: the FC Twin 2-in-1 clone system that began this journey through classic gaming and a library of games that continues to grow to this day.
WWE TLC 2011… Some Belated Thoughts
I’ve yet to watch this year’s Royal Rumble, but a friend had promised he’d send me a copy of the show this week. He did, however, send me last month’s TLC PPV, so there’s that. So I decided to share some musings with this PPV that most of you have probably already seen. This isn’t an up-and-up report or anything; just random observations and musings on the show, similar to how I approach the RAW Bytes, so to speak.
Doggy Vid #05 – Is Foley Good?
Review #058 – Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing (PC)
(2020 Update: New video upload of an old review that had since been re-edited into a better version than what was originally posted. The Big Rigs review had a bunch of problems and I wanted to go back and fix this one somewhat. It’s about a minute shorter than the old cut, but it’s a better cut, I think.)

Classic Bite Commentary #105 – January 11th, 2012
(2024 Update: Unearthed for the first time in years and never before published is the lost January 11th, 2012 Bite commentary that was written before the 2012 Royal Rumble. I don’t know why I never posted this, but this would be the last genuine Bite commentary written, as the next one would be brief and the actual final commentary is more of a lookback than a commentary proper.)
Welcome to another Bite commentary… man, I haven’t done one of these in a while, have I?
You wanna know something, folks? When you have a blog that’s more convenient to use and much quicker to post thoughts online, there’s little reason to stick with a format that doesn’t quite fit. The Bite Commentaries, more than anything, were a bunch of quick thoughts thrown together. More often than not, it’s a place where I would bitch about stuff.

A Quick Update And Hiatus Of Sorts
Hiatus will probably affect blog updates as well, but there will be some reposting of old stuff here and there.
Netflix Canada gets Power Rangers… some of it.
So a couple months ago, I signed up to Netflix and for the most part, I like what I see… however, I was a tad disappointed that there was no sign of Power Rangers on the Canadian side of things, since Netflix in the US has most, if not all, of the seasons on their side… Power Rangers on Netflix is the only reason why I bothered with the service to begin with… but at the very least, I’m getting some use from it. For example, they have the theatrical versions of the first and sixth Star Trek feature films, thus eliminating any need or urge to get the recent DVD compilations which contain these things. So I’m getting some use out of Netflix…
Then I fire up my new Western Digital TV Live Streaming device and enter Netflix and what do I find? A nice dose of Power Rangers… not all eighteen seasons, but the classic stuff; all of Mighty Morphin, the Alien Rangers storyarc, and all of Zeo. They also put the recent Samurai season, along with the three specials… which is good, since I now have the means to watch Samurai.
So yeah… thanks, Netflix Canada.
