For the would-be geniuses who doubt my Sonic 2 competency, here’s a quick vid of the game on the Super NES… via a nifty device that plays Genesis/Mega Drives on your Super Family Computer of choice. Needless to say, your doubts were confirmed.
Restoration Process – 20 PerCent
With work taking time, restoring the old archive has been slow. At the very least, I can comfort myself with the fact that the majority of the commentaries are done (only missing one old commentary due to missing raw files and some playthrough commentaries). I’ve also started on restoring old vintage videos (some not even released) and the wrestling game matches. Some might even make it to YouTube.
In the meantime, I’m slowly uploading the remaining reviews onto the Dailymotion page. And come Canada Day, the 100th review will be posted on both channels on the same day… at the same time? Probably not.

Random Thoughts On… TGWTG's Special
…or rather the lack of a special. Apparently, it’s still be worked on, but I find it rather odd that it isn’t ready yet, since in the past couple years, their anniversary special would either be released already or in progress by this time of year. Mind you, I found their prior attempts at epics to be dismal (and made a couple reviews out of it) but if they’re taking the extra time to make it actually something resembling good and something that the casual fan or outsider could enjoy, then that’s probably a good thing. While there are some things they can’t fix – if the performances themselves are shit, there’s not much they can do about that – the extra time allotted could be used to make the most of what they could.
On that note… Spoony is apparently gone from TGWTG.
Surprised to hear about this. Don’t know if anything happened and I don’t want to speculate… but yeah. Didn’t see that coming.
Best of luck, Noah.
Discovering Old Stuff
What little time I have at home during the week is spent rebuilding archives. I’ve done most of the old reviews (only a couple need be rebuilt altogether) and I’m halfway through the commentaries. However, I did come across some old files. One’s an old commentary that was never released (but will be now), and the other’s a set of videos that I never recorded any solid commentary. If nothing else, it’ll add to some reserve videos in the back catalogue of videos for future updates.
In-FAQ?
A couple folks who claim to have been followers of the old DTM Webstation website I used to do (I find that alone highly suspect, but I digress) have been wondering if there was any chance I was going to bring back the InFrequently Asked Questions page…
I honestly have no idea… it might not be a bad idea… but I have no idea… we’ll see.

Restoration Process 11 PerCent
Finished redoing the early set of reviews. Began work on restoring some commentary videos. The commentaries are pretty easy to restore in this case; a couple of them are simply merged versions of previously 2-part commentary videos and the rest are more or less intact. The only issue is that the rendering takes quite a bit of time to pull off, which means I have to keep busy on other things. So we’ll see.
In the meantime, I’ve slowly begun work on more reviews for a future event. More on that later down the road.
