The ATARIBOX Report

A video document summarizing my first few months with the neglected Atari VCS (a.k.a. ATARIBOX) device from 2021. Yes, I did get my hands on an Ataribox (for cheaper than usual), I fiddled around with it for a bit, and I’ve gathered some notes on the device. Is it worth getting in 2026? Probably not, but at least, I’ve got some decent fodder out of it that will fuel video material for this webzone in the future. Expect a sequel in October because there’s more to tinker with here and this is just a sampler of… something or other.

Yes, the premiere is at 8 p.m. EST – chances are you’ll have to decide whether you want to watch another exciting edition of MJF And His Low Hanging Fruit on AEW Dynamite or some idiot fumbling with a gimmick nobody is going to buy because you can do more with a mini PC at the price point that it’s asking for. And also, yes, this was a pain in the ass to put together in more ways than one… but it’s done. And we’ll be rolling back to this thing in October via One Year Later special, which will be very exciting, I’m sure.

Sunday Gimmick Table returns with a spotlight on a Japanese PSX, followed by the usual Review material. Review A Great Game Week also happens to be next week, though your guess is as good as mine as to whether these next titles constitute as “great.” Good, maybe… we’ll see.

NES 40th Anniversary Review Compilation

In honor of 40 years of NES, here’s a quickly thrown together compilation of past NES reviews featured on this channel highlighting some of the highlights and none of the pain. We’ll save the pain for another time if you’re really that anxious for it.

A couple notes: first off, none of the HD stuff is included; just the old 4:3 stuff. Did this mostly to save time on rendering. Secondly, this isn’t a Top XX NES Games or whatever; it’s just a collection of old stuff done in the past. If X game is missing, I probably haven’t covered it. Finally, I opted for the shorter reviews and not the much longer ones, so none of the Dragon Warriors or Final Fantasy stuff in there.

The Bat Guano Forever Special Edition

For your viewing (dis)pleasure as well as mine – and also as a prelude for tomorrow’s video review offering – a compilation of previously uploaded video reviews of the Batman Forever video game that graced Super NES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, and Game Gear. Originally uploaded 2014-2015, which means they’re 9-10 years old. Fuck me.

This was previously posted on the Dailymotion page and I think it’s still available, but this is a new edit with slightly new tweaks and a slight sampler for things to come.

NOTE: This has been listed as a DTM House Show special event, but it is not an actual live show; just a rebroadcast of old material. There is news of a new House Show coming soon-ish. Keep an eye out.

Hunting For Ghosts Y'All – The 2015 Ghost Hunt 2.0

Before WWE gave us NXT 2.0, the Irate Gamer brought us Ghost Hunting 2.0… but with less colors.

Back in 2015, Chris Bores wrote a book about ghost hunting. Somehow, I got a copy for my reading device and the end result was a couple experiments documented in a couple vlogs. Those vlogs has been assembled into a single video, along with some additional audio blurbs.
This is what passes as a Halloween special in 2021, kids; a couple old VLOGs and some audio bits. The special effects have been redone, however, so that’s something?

VIDEO – EmptyMania (April 2020 Special)

Empty arena simulations of four marquee matches from this year’s empty-arena Mania courtesy of WWE 2K18 for PC. Also includes a bit of a bonus towards the end.

(2026 Update: Freshly uploaded to the Extra Bits Youtube channel in its original 1080P resolution as the Bajoran wormhole aliens intended.)

DTM's Abridged New Year's Special

Was hoping for a longer video, but sadly, technical issues and other stupid things not worth mentioning are the reasons for this here fuck-up and I’m very agitated. It all boils down to rendering and after a couple failed attempts, I just gave up and dumped everything. For something you’ve worked hard to put together to suddenly stop co-operating is a frustrating experience and we’re already off to a GENIUS start on this here decade.

So to make it up to you folks, here’s an “abridged” special that’s just pick-ups… and then a Sunday Gimmick Table will be up this weekend.
