We Have A Big Star On Suspension… Let’s Reduce It…

Source: https://www.mmafighting.com/2018/9/19/17880968/pros-react-to-jon-jones-15-month-usada-suspension

Jon Jones’ suspension reduced from whatever it was before to a mere fifteen months… which means he’s back in action next month. And by the way, wasn’t Brock’s suspension originally supposed to be two years, but now he’s done in 2019?

Jesus Christ… I thought this UFC shit was supposed to be real… turns out it’s faker than pro wrestling. At least with pro wrestling, you KNOW it’s all an act and all the fights are choreographed spectacles with ‘roided bastards. When did UFC become sports-entertainment?

Oh yeah…

NBA 2K19… WTF

I took this shot from the EB Games (Gamestop) store close to home. I don’t know if this is the regular version or the deluxe version, but I do know that EB Games is selling new, unopened copies of NBA 2K19 for Nintendo Switch at a price of approximately $129.99 CDN plus tax. Which probably adds up to 140-ish.

A hundred and forty dollars for a video game… and then you have the stupid gambling mechanic that was barred by the Belgian government recently. And these fuckers at 2K Games want Belgian players to convince their government that these loot crate gimmicks aren’t gambling.

Yeah, good luck with that, dipshits.

It’s one thing when mobile games pull this shit because they’re usually free to play and that mechanic is where mobile game makers make their money, but for full-priced games that cost 60, 70, 80, or even 90 dollars… with Deluxe Editions that typically cost way the fuck more…

My brain hurts.

Look, I know the gut instinct would be to cheer Belgium for adopting an anti-loot thing to their video games and treating infractions as criminal… but the last time I checked, Belgium is part of the European Union; a union that recently signed off on an ANTI-MEME LAW.

AN ANTI-MEME LAW.

And you thought North America had dumbfucks running their governments.

“Jean Phillipe… Ban the loot boxes, you Belgian twat.”

Cavill No Longer Super… man

So Henry Cavill is no longer doing Superman movies… and apparently Ben Affleck might not be doing Batman amid his rehabbing issues… but Gal Gadot is still doing Wonder Woman, right? So, I guess we’re all good.

That sucks. Say what you will about the movies he’s been in, but I always thought Cavill had the potential to be a good Superman; the recent Justice League showed glimmers of hope on that point and I would’ve like to have seen him actually play Superman in a Superman movie… but alas, it is not to be.

As for Affleck… well, I hope all goes well with him in regards to his recent issues.

Big Bang Theory To End Next May… Thank Fuck For That

Source: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/22/business/media/big-bang-theory-ending.html

The Big Bang Theory, the most popular series among geeks for whatever reason that began way back in 2007, is going to end its run after a whopping twelve seasons… and thank fuck for that.

I remember watching this show in its early days and being rather unimpressed by it. While there was some moments of brief entertainment – anything involving Wil Wheaton of all people – for the most part, it was just an irritating show that somehow got watched by a whole bunch of stupid people and I could never get into. When I watch a show, I usually stick around because the characters are likable and maybe even relatable to a certain extent… and Big Bang Theory featured neither of these traits in any of these characters, who come off as unlikeable, self-entitled assholes and stereotypes… much like modern-day social media.

Hey, no wonder why I couldn’t get into this show!

Random Thoughts On… The ROH/NJPW MSG G1 Supershow Sell Out

Source: https://www.f4wonline.com/ring-honor/roh-njpw-g1-supercard-sells-out-madison-square-garden-263531

So Ring Of Honor tried to get a show at Madison Square Garden and then were told they couldn’t get a show, blaming WWE for the cockblock of sorts. But then things smoothed out and we got the announcement that Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling are holding their G1 Supershow at the Garden on Wrestlemania Weekend.

And then tickets went on sale and sold out almost immediately. So Ring of Honor and New Japan did what WWE couldn’t do in three years: they sold out the Garden.

You know, I thought the All In show selling out in 30 minutes was probably the most mind-blowing thing I’ve seen this past year and I’m happy that it’s going to be available for public consumption on a broadcast level via PPV and various streaming formats… but then two of the biggest wrestling entities not named WWE not only were able to secure a date for an arena that had been almost exclusively McMahon territory for well over half a century, but to sell the place out when WWE couldn’t do that with a house show that featured the likes of Roman Reigns and Ronda Rousey?

Actually, reading that last bit out loud sounded far more impressive than it actually was, if at all.

So you know what? Good for ROH and New Japan. I’m really thrilled that they were able to make this happen and their efforts were rewarded with a quick sell-out. Here’s hoping that when bell time comes along next year, they pull off a phenomenal showing that would be worthy of the Garden.

Anyone got a Vince McMahon sad face I could post on here?
