Who knew there was a Hulkamania Meatball Maker? 'Cuz I Didn't…

Source: http://wrestlechat.net/hulk-hogan-still-kicking-himself-for-endorsing-a-meatball-maker-machine-instead-of-a-grill/

Anyone who knows the story behind the George Foreman Grill knows that it was originally offered to Hulk Hogan, but since the Hulkster wasn’t home, they offered it to the former boxing champion. Now according to Hogan years ago (on his moderately-lived TV show, no less), nobody was home to pick up the phone when the people behind the grill called his house and they decided to offer it to Foreman instead rather than call Hogan back later… kind of a dick move on their part, but then if they were willing to do that to Hulk Hogan, it should clue people in on what they actually think of the Huckster.

Now while Hogan missed out on the grill, he was able to endorse a blender dubbed the Hulk Hogan Thunder Mixer… but it wasn’t as successful as the grill that would make Foreman millions and indirectly inspire the original design of the Sony Playstation 3.

However, somewhere along the way, he must have changed his story. According to the above page, Hogan told Sam Worthington that he snubbed the grill in favor of a meatball maker. And when asked what about the grill, he allegedly said, “Give it to your other client.” The other client turned out to be George Foreman…

Now, maybe this is Alzheimer’s finally catching up to Hogan or maybe he (most likely) changed the story because losing out on the grill and getting a blender instead didn’t exactly make ol’ Terry look good, but a thorough search on the Internet (by which I mean Google…) makes no mention of any Hulk Hogan meatball maker… but a LOT of mentions (and pictures!) of Hulk Hogan’s Thunder Mixer blender brutha thing.

On the bright side, Hogan did get his own grill years later… so.

Goldberg To Crimson – Who are you again????

From wrestlenewz.com:

After Sunday’s TNA Hardcore Justice pay-per-view, Bill Goldberg re-tweeted a message from a fan: “Sorry Crimson, a spear w/out a Jackhammer just sucks.”

Crimson seemed to take the re-tweet personal: “@Goldberg while you were gettin stretched by Chris Jericho I was dodging bullets for this country… #whosnextnotme #destroyinglives”

Goldberg responded to that: “Who are you again????”

Of course, it should be noted that that last blurb is more due to Goldberg’s ignorance of new talent (not insulting the guy, he honestly didn’t know and even said so himself after a fan had pointed out who Crimson was) rather than any sort of jab at Crimson. I also doubt that the re-tweet itself is any kind of jab and just him reposting a fan’s comment that reminisces of Goldberg’s finisher, which was a spear followed by jackhammer.

Still, it’s a rather snappy (and humorous) comeback from the former WCW champion.

More Merch For John Cena… BORING

According to this page, John Cena is looking to change his ring gear and is asking fans for ideas. Oh joy, more CeNation merchandise to sell to the kiddies. Hey, John. Here’s an idea. Why don’t you go for a yellow shirt with big red block letters that says HULK CENA RULZ! LOL!

Seriously, what’s the point of asking fans for ideas on new merch? It’s just going to be the same shit with different colors and slightly different typeface. It’s almost as bad as Mortal Kombat’s ninja color swapping. Even Hulk Hogan had SOME variety in his merchandise back in the day. And there’s only been a couple variations of the iconic Austin 3:16 shirt during his sizable reign on top…

This is getting lazy, gents.

Check out OneUpGamer's Latest Review

Some folks might recall a 2-part commentary that I did for a Back To The Future NES review by YT 1up Gamer. I recall being amused by the poor quality yet humorous narrative that seemed to override the rather lackluster review segment. Anyway, about a week ago, he posted his most recent review for an unlocalized NES game called Spy Vs. Spy II and… what a drastic improvement compared to his earlier stuff. A solid review and a rather enjoyable tongue-in-cheek narrative… the production has gotten a significant upgrade since then and it shows.

I’ll probably post my commentary for his Gremlins II review (now a Frankenstein commentary of sorts considering the amount of add-ons made to this thing) tomorrow, but in the meantime, give this kid a view by clicking the link below.

I salute you, sir.

Rock Available As WWE '12 Pre-Orders… But Is Standard Ware In Wii Version

From wrestlenewz.com

As mentioned before, The Rock will be available as a playable character for fans who pre-order WWE ‘12 through any participating retailer and Gamestop pre-orders will come with alternate attires for The Miz. The alternate attires will be The Miz in a suit and his “I’m Awesome” t-shirt. It’s being reported that the Wii version of WWE ‘12 will automatically come with The Rock as a playable character and The Miz’s alternative attire.

That’s cool. Nice to know that when I pick up my Wii copy, I will be able to play the Rock and begin fantasy matches with Fruity Pebbles.

I Killed The Gaming Community

December 2012 notes:
Around the time of this video’s recording, there have been many videos produced talking about how the gaming community on YouTube was dying, possibly due to channels being shut down or people moving on, or some other reasoning that escapes me, because I certainly didn’t agree with that mentality. Still don’t.

I don’t recall what specific video drove me to toss this thing together, but I DO recall uploading this video and taking it down. For what reason? I don’t remember…

CM PUNK IS COMING…

…to TNA On-Demand

Unfortunately, hardcore TNA fanboys who were hoping the true WWE Champion would show up on TNA tapings (with the belt, no less) are no doubt heartbroken by the news that CM Punk has indeed signed a new contract with WWE.

With that having been said, I think it’s pretty cool that TNA is taking advantage of the recent CM Punk rumblings by unearthing some stuff from his brief stint with the organization (from the early days of TNA when they were running weekly pay-per-views as opposed to weakly television shows). Almost makes me think of the lost opportunity WCW had when Steve Austin hit it big in the WWF ages ago by showing some of his old matches.
