Macho Man Spurred Again! Grrr…. or something.

http://tbo.com/news/wwe-hall-of-fame-against-spurns-macho-man-20140331/

Another year gone by, another year where somebody is moaning about the Macho Man not being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. And, no doubt, another year where people will argue that Lanny Poffo doesn’t deserve to be inducted. To which I say, “Why not? We already have guys like Drew Carey, Bob Uecker, and William Perry who did considerably less in the Hall of Fame? Why not induct the guy who, at the very least, got a DQ victory over Hulk Hogan?”

Really, I’d expect David Arquette to be inducted into the HOF before Randy Savage.

Observations Of Boring Boring

From the Irate Gamer Sucks Blog, a post by the blogger bitching about Chris Bores again; you know, the usual song-and-dance about how he’s not a gamer and how the heck is he supporting himself with this stuff and blah blah blah. This post was brought about by lack of worthwhile content from Da Bores, because let’s be honest; nobody gives a shit about his T-Shirts, only a few folks would care about his Skylander videos, and his website is more bloggy than anything… is “bloggy” even a word? Who cares?

There used to be a time when I would occasionally visit the blog and drop a few observations here and there. Some spats occurred, but most of it was somewhat civil… or at least, I’d like to think so. I’d check, but I have no patience. And that was years ago when the blog was relatively new and somewhat fresh. Even though I’d occasionally drop by, I rarely (if ever) comment. Nowadays, I generally use the site to find out whether there’s a new Irate Gamer video up… How sad is it when a blog called Irate Gamer Sucks does a better job of promoting the Irate Gamer than the Irate Gamer himself?
Actually, now that I think about it, a blog called Irate Gamer Sucks spends more time TALKING about the Irate Gamer than the guy’s own fucking website, which has stories about stuff that nobody in their right mind would care about when they go to a website of a Youtube personality or whatever. Not to mention, that blog does a better job of promoting the show… I’d have to believe that the reason Bores continue to do these videos the way he does is just to give that blog material to work, because then the blogger would bitch about Bores’ latest Irate catastrophe and people would go “Gotta see this for myself.”
And I’d have to wonder what would become of that blog if Bores were to call it quits. Because with Bores gone, there’d be no other reason for that blog to exist. None whatsoever. I really have to wonder about that because every time you see a blog post like the one linked above, it almost comes across a plead to Bores to make more worthwhile stuff for the guy to bitch about. God forbid he’d find something else to talk about or, even worse, catch up on those Recap Reduxes he’s long since abandoned.
By the way, this was a blog post to promote the Irate Gamer Sucks blog. And even though it hasn’t been an overly positive post, you’ll no doubt be tempted to head over there and see “how bad that blog really is” or whatever equivalent phrasing you would prefer.

Funny…

I find it oddly amusing (or bemusing) that the “Razor Ramon” character portrayed by Scott Hall is getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and yet Scott Hall himself is not. I wonder if they’re going to bring back the fake Razor to accept the induction in place of Hall.

Still, congratulations to “Razor” for the impending induction. Now all we need to do is induct “Vinnie Vegas” into the Hall of Fame and we’re all set.

Silly Doodle – The Fragile Ego Of Jay Dee Eff

He does it for the fans… unless the fans wants to see the other guy named Jason.

A friend sent me the following e-mail the other day and I’d thought that I would share it.

“Austin St. John set to appear at the Florida Supercon.

And then Jason Frank bails, citing family obligations.

I wonder if, aside from the silver stripe on that Green helmet, they should add a yellow one on his back?”

Hence the above drawing.

It Took Him 118 Episodes To Get To Big Rigs

And… I didn’t laugh. I wasn’t in the slightest bit amused… I just sat there, watching, waiting for greatness to come along and… nothing. In fairness, I can’t blame Rolfe because, try as he might, he couldn’t bring anything to the table about Big Rigs that hasn’t been touched on before. Big Rigs, much like that game he’s making a movie, has been beaten to death so many times and by so many people (myself included) that you pretty much know everything there is to know about the game. And by the time the NERD finally gets to the game, his approach is somewhat underwhelming because he’s essentially retreading what others have harked on and mocked.
That’s kind of the thing that gets me more than anything with the guy; when he gets to a game that’s been touched on so many times by all the inspired and second-rate angry folks, what does he have to offer on these things that hasn’t been done by anybody else and in some cases, done better? In regards to Big Rigs, two videos come to mind that I found to be better; one of them is Armake21’s old “Games That Suck: Big Rigs” video and the other is the hilariously short video review by Alex Navarro. Check those out if you have the chance.

VIDEO – James & Mike Don't Know What A Prototype Is

(2020 Update: This video hurt my brain… and now I’m sharing the pain.)

I’m watching the James & Mike video where they’re playing the Super Mario Wacky Worlds prototype game and… guys, you do realize that is an UNFINISHED prototype. As in NOT FINISHED. There is a reason why it was never released for sale during the CDi’s active years… BECAUSE IT WASN’T FINISHED AND IT WAS CANNED. You cannot play and bitch about the thing as if it was a FULL GAME. This video was almost Boresian in its conception.

New Flash Costume Revealed For Upcoming TV Show

Ugh. Is it wrong for me to think the costume featured in the short-lived Flash TV show from the 1990s looks better than this thing? Looks hideous.

(2019 Update: Actually, I’d still prefer the old 90s suit. Actually looked sturdier than whatever they have on now.)
