YES! X-Wing And The Almighty TIE FIGHTER Available On GOG.com!

So, X-Wing and TIE Fighter have finally made their way to GOG.com. And even better, they come in both vintage DOS versions and upgraded Windows versions. Not much else to say except…

Hell frickin’ yes.

For those wondering, the vintage DOS versions are the original floppy versions with expansions and not the original CD-ROM Collector’s Editions that had slightly more content and slightly better graphics. If you want that stuff, you have to go for the Windows versions, which require a controller to play and ditches the amazing iMuse music of the DOS version for the generic John Williams soundtrack. A bit of a pity, but not a total loss. And at the very least, they work.

So I say again… Hell frickin’ yes.

Polling

From this rajah.com page;

Take this for what it’s worth, but the official WWE website is currently running a poll asking their fans which “co-main event” should go on last at Sunday’s WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view and by a wide margin, Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose is winning.

Good to know the WWE Universe knows which match should be closing out the show… the ones with the winner of that Dean Ambrose/John Cena match from a couple weeks ago.

That said, watch WWE go their usual ass backwards way and make the Losers’ Match go last.

Hold Up…

So Dean Ambrose won a match last week to earn himself a Hell In A Cell match with Seth Rollins, while John Cena, the loser of said match, was saddled with another encounter with Randy Orton. Okay, so far so good.

Now it was announced that the winner of the Cena/Orton match would get a title shot at Brock Lesnar… let me re-iterate, the winner of THE LOSERS MATCH gets a title shot.

Where is that stock image? Oh, here it is…

Did Bobby Roode win the TNA title yet? I haven’t been keeping up to date with taping results.

Justin Roberts Gone From WWE, Spared Another Tie Choke From Daniel Bryan Danielson

Source: http://www.wwe.com/inside/justin-roberts-contract-not-renewed-26726645

Bit of a shocker, actually. You’d figure that they’d give their “head” ring announcer a nice long tenure, but I guess that’s what they got Tony Chimel for, right? The sad part about all this? The poor guy will never get his win back from Daniel Bryan Danielson and Tiegate back in 2010.

Oh well… at least the chances of this happening again have dropped considerably now that he’s been future-endeavored.

The Nerd Does E.T. Proper, No Need To Watch The Movie

The Nerd “review” on E.T. The Extra Terrestrial for Atari 2600 is now online, thanks to Cinemassacre. In reality, it’s the same “review” from the end of the movie, but with the “real” E.T. game instead of the movie stand-in. If the review was the only thing you cared about, then you now have no reason to rent or buy the movie.

My thoughts on the film are forthcoming… assuming I can get over these health things.

An Abortion Of A Doctor Who Episode… Okay, That Was Lame.

So Twitter is having a ball with the recent episode of Doctor Who, which apparently revolves around the decision of giving the moon an abortion. It is as ridiculous as it sounds. And yet people are talking about the abortion allegory this episode is apparently shooting out. You can follow that stuff here, but leave me out of it.

Monster Madness Coming Soon… Wait For That Instead.

http://cinemassacre.com/2014/09/23/monster-madness-2014-promo/

After suffering (yes, suffering) through two hours of dreck, I’m anxiously looking forward to the latest edition of Monster Madness madness where James Rolfe looks at a bunch of horror stuff. Forget the ego-trip vanity movie; THIS is something worth waiting for.

Yeah, I’m not doing a good job of keeping it subtle, am I?
