VECTREX WEEK
From Monday, January 29th to Friday, February 2nd, you’ll be getting daily reviews of Vectrex games. The games will pop up as they do. From there, we’ll be doing the Viewer Mail Month gimmick that was mentioned a couple months back. Should be fun.
FINAL YEAR OF DTM-CAST
In case you missed the last episode, I made the announcement that this year was going to be the final year of the DTM-Cast and that the show would be formally ending on Episode 250. The series will resume its regular monthly schedule, which means the final episode will likely land in August. I’ll go deeper into the decision to end the show on the next episode, but needless to say, this opens up the possibility for something else to fill the void in the future. We’ll see.
On that note…
POWER RANGERS REFLECTIONS – Looking Back At Cosmic Fury
In a couple weeks time, I’ll be posting my thoughts and musings on the last season of Power Rangers by bringing back the old Reflections format. I’ll be doing three such posts covering the series, along with any random thoughts that I had watching the show progress. Hopefully, this will be the start of regular updates, but no word on how we’re going to progress afterwards or how often new posts will be uploaded. Again, we’ll see.
OTHER STUFF DOWN THE PIKE
There’s other stuff in the works… but I’m not ready to announce those yet for fear of IRL stuff… is that what the cool kids call real life stuff?
Anyway, that’s it for now. Later.

ADDITIONAL BLOG NOTES
So in addition to the standard State Of The Blog updates that were posted on the old Blogger space, I’ve decided to amend these posts with additional notes regarding the slow building of this WordPress space, with the intention of eventually moving that whole blog over to this space. A lot of the stuff has made the cut and I’ve spent the better part of a year cataloguing each and every post, including everything from the Blogger site, as well as material from the old DTM Blog, Webstation, and various other things that I’ve had buried in the woodworks.
For the moment, I’m focused on getting some of the more recent stuff working and getting everything up to snuff. At the very least, I’d like to get all the video stuff and major Blogger stuff up and about before the big changeover happens. And even that depends on whether other things don’t pop up… so this additional blogger notes will keep track of all the background happenings of this WordPress space. Not much use for anyone in particular other than to keep track of things.
Kevin Dunn Leaving WWE…
Source: https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/kevin-dunn-reportedly-leaving-wwe
Well, it truly is the end of an era now that the old “Bucky Beaver Mother Fucker” himself, WWE executive producer Kevin Dunn, is parting ways with the company that has employed his services for close to four decades. Regardless of what you thought of the man or how he produced television, he was always a major part of that WWE machine and there’s no doubt that there will be some huge shoes to fill. Hopefully, ol’ KD will enjoy the fruits of his labor… or maybe he’ll start a podcast… or maybe he’ll be the next AEW signee to fill the void left by Andrade.
Either way, we wish Kevin Dunn the best in all of his future endeavors.
Review #1021 – Final Fantasy (NES)
The beginning of a legend with several glitches.
The Winners And Losers Of 2023
Hey, kids… it’s that time, again.
The Winners And Losers of 2023 is here and… well, we’ll see.
2023 has been a rather trying year both personally and entertainment-wise. It got to the point where finding genuine winners of the year was a bit of a struggle. When I revisit the list every few weeks, I end up with more losers and middle-grounders than actual winners and that is somewhat troubling. There are memorable aspects to this year, but nothing that can be considered true highlights. With that in mind, it isn’t a total wash of negativity and there are some bright spots to be had… so let’s start with those.
Sunday Gimmick Table #24 – Ricochet Retro Handheld (118 “Classic” Games!)
The first video on this channel in 2023 was about the Vectrex.
The last video on this channel in 2023 is about a rubbish handheld with 118 games.
I should have played more Vectrex.

AEW Dynamite (Dec. 27th, 2023): The Devil Is This Poop?
Tuned into AEW for the first time in what seems like months and what do I get for my efforts?
– The finals of the Continental Classic is going to be another match between Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston at AEW’s New Year’s Eve Eve PPV this Saturday, which I’m sure will be a nice bloody affair and those guys will absolutely maim each other for the opportunity of carrying three shiny belts that mean absolutely fuck all. (Seriously, why do we need more belts?)
– With Swerve out of any title picture, we’ll finally getting that Swerve vs. Keith Lee match that every one of YOU (not me – I don’t care either way) have been clamoring for. Hey, no knock of Swerve; the guy’s got a great main event feature if anyone is willing to pull the trigger on him, but him and Keith Lee going at it seemingly years after their deal mattered means nothing at this point. But hey, a payoff long past its due date isn’t completely alien to AEW these days.
– This Devil storyline is still going on? Does anybody really give a shit at this point? There were a couple points beforehand where the devil should have been revealed and we’re STILL doing this shit?
– By the way, speaking of belts that don’t matter, your new ROH tag titles are the masked mystery men that nobody cares about.
I don’t want to rail on this show entirely; you had good matches in Mox/Swerve/White and Danielson/Kingston. Statlander/Blue was also pretty good even with the hokey finish and the fact that your TBS title program is the battle of the scary ladies (I’d do a Cornette Face, but that’d be feeding the Cult Of Corntards, so I’ll refrain), and Le Sex Gods reuniting so we’d have SOME title match for Starks and Big Bill is a nice, wholesome Boxing Day moment… but fuck me, this Devil shit needs to die in 2023. It’s already occupied a spot in the Losers Of 2023 listing and I’ve only watched ONE show involving this shit.

WWF Armageddon 2000
The final WWF PPV of the year 2000… and it’s headlined by a six-man Hell In A Cell match concocted by then-commissioner Mick Foley to bring pain to reigning and defending WWF Champion Kurt Angle, coupled with Vince’s efforts to prevent the match from happening… even though he’s the chairman and the owner, which means he could easily overrule Mick if he wanted to, but I guess that would make too much sense.
So this return to WWF 2000 hasn’t been fantastic. No Mercy had its moments and Survivor Series only had one. My hopes aren’t high for this one, but… okay, here we go.
