Rolling into the 2000s with the 2001 Royal Rumble, perhaps one of the better Rumble shows that I’ve seen live. Let’s see if it still holds up.

Royal Ramble 1989
On this day, exactly three decades ago, the 1989 Royal Rumble took place on Pay-Per-View. And so, consider this a bonus of sorts as we touch on this event that shaped the Rumble into what we knew it as for a couple decades before it went to shit.
Royal Ramble 1996
Last week, we did 1995 and got a so-so show kick off an otherwise shit year for wrestling. This week, we do 1996 and get… well, more of the same, I suppose.
Royal Ramble 1995
Even though the blog is supposed to be on “hiatus” this month, the Royal Ramble continues onwards… because they’re already written and automatically publish on schedule. So enjoy some content on the blog, even if it’s based on play fighting.
Royal Ramble 1993
So, we’re rolling around the Royal Rumble next year and that means we might as well get up to speed on these Royal Ramble things. Hence, why I’m starting early in late-December… also, it saves me the trouble of cooking up cute little banners and I can just use the generic Royal Ramble banner instead.
I know there are Christmas stuff on the Network, but let’s save that for next year, yes?
WWE TLC 2018
I skipped this one originally, but I’ve heard good things about it and checked out some of the results, so I decided to give WWE TLC a bit of watch… and when I say a bit of watch, I mean “I’ll watch the important stuff and skip the rest unless something piques my interest.”
ECW Massacre On 34th Street (December 2000 PPV)
So it’s December… and it’s the holiday season… who’s up for an ECW PPV musing?
From December 2000, it’s ECW’s penultimate PPV extravaganza, Massacre On 34th Street. I have not seen this show back in the day; not sure why, but in any event, let’s give this one a shot and see if this would’ve been a better last hurrah than the actual last hurrah that came along the following year.

AWA Super Sunday (April 1983)
Time for something a little bit different.
Originally airing on April 23, 1983, it’s the American Wrestling Association’s Super Sunday extravaganza. I’m watching this on the WWE Network and while an old AWA stadium event wouldn’t be enticing to me normally, this show does contain a rather famous match that has tide shifting potential.
WCW Uncensored 2000
Welp, this is it… the last WCW Uncensored PPV.
You know this show is going to be a winner when the camera shows a fan with a sign that says “I’d Rather Be At Wrestlemania.”
Sigh… let’s get this fucker over with.
WCW Uncensored ’99
WCW Uncensored 1999 is a show that will live in infamy… except not really.
Anyway, on with the show…
