How Did NXT Announcers Know About Samoa Joe If “TNA Doesn’t Exist?”

That’s the conundrum that has struck TNA play-by-play man Josh Matthews, who took to Twitter to ask this conundrum-ing question. “How would NXT announcers know about Samoa Joe if WWE thinks TNA doesn’t exist?”

Well, Josh. It’s really quite simple. Though WWE pretend that TNA doesn’t exist and thus shouldn’t know Samoa Joe because of this, there is one place that Joe has been they DO acknowledge the existence of. You might have heard of it; it’s called Ring of Honor. And not only was Ring Of Honor was mentioned a number of times on the website, but on occasion, for various WWE documentaries (such as the one featuring that Punk fellow), they would feature clips of ROH. Clips that would include – say it with me, now – SAMOA JOE.

As a matter of fact, Samoa Joe has been name dropped on WWE produced material on a number of occasions. You could bring up that one WWE.com list of superstars you didn’t know were in WWE and there’s a mention of Samoa Joe, touted as an independent icon, mentioned his matches with Daniel Bryan Danielson and Kenta Kobashi, and even bring up the “Joe Is Gonna Kill You” chants – I’ll provide a link to said page right here. Hell, they even show a clip from that one Velocity match Joe had with Essa Rios WAY back in 2001.

And Josh, on the extremely unlikely chance you might come across this humble little page, I’ll even include a link to this video from WWE, which includes a clip and a mention of another former TNA guy you might be familiar with. Now how would WWE know this guy if TNA didn’t exist? He once had a spot of coffee in WCW.

And that’s how they’re able to acknowledge Samoa Joe without referencing TNA. Because contrary to what you or anyone else at TNA would like to believe, TNA is not the only other place people go to wrestle. There are other places that people can go to wrestle. Does TNA pretend that THEY don’t exist either? Because I don’t believe that’s a practice exclusive to WWE.

And I say this not to sound smart or to be condescending. You asked a question; I simply provided something of an answer with some references for you to refer to. Fairly straightforward deal, no?

Anyway, I hope this clears things up for you. All the best to you and your colleagues.

TNA Impact Wrestling Cancelled… Again (Allegedly)

Source: http://wrestlechat.net/breaking-destination-america-cancels-all-tna-wrestling-programming-as-of-september-2015/

So, once again, TNA is left looking for a new home, as their current programming is set to conclude in September. Mind you, this just broke out a short while ago and there’s a very good possibility that this is smoke being blown out the south end. But if it turns out to be true… oh shit.

Maybe I’ll have more thoughts on this later.

Egomaniacal Manchild Jason Douchebag Frank Responds To CM Punk

Here’s the link to the video… haven’t seen it, but it’s likely JDF crying about this fucking worthless feud that exists only within his delusions of grandeur and the minds of those who continually drink the Kool-Aid they serve him. Douchebag Frank should be happy Punk even talked about him and gave him “six months of relevancy”; Van Damme probably has no clue who JDF is.

On that note, a personal message to Mr. Frank;

Hey, dipshit. You know what I’d like to see you do? Actually have the fucking balls to go face to face with ASJ. You remember him, don’t you? That guy you’ve been saying nasty things to and been challenging to fight while he was out overseas? That guy who just came back to the public eye a year ago? I’m sure there was no opportunity for you guys to meet up… OH WAIT.

Why am I giving this guy any attention? It seems like every time he opens his mouth, he says something stupid and I feel compelled to point it out. I really shouldn’t, but this is supposed to be the face of Power Rangers… you know, that toy machine aimed at young boys that’s all about teamwork, co-operation, and not using martial arts to start fights. And yet, here is the “greatest Ranger evar” looking to start fights with failed MMA fighters and semi-retired actors. What a positive role model for the kids, amirite?

Honestly, I shouldn’t care about this. I think I’m just enjoying racking my brain over the banal stupidity that this man displays in public or online. Is this the sort of thing he does in real life when there’s no spotlight on him? I sure hope not.

Anyway, I’ve spent more time on this than I probably should have… hopefully, I won’t have to reach that point again in the near future.

Would be nice, J.

Daniel Bryan Danielson Vacates The Title

With his future uncertain, Daniel Bryan Danielson vacates the Intercontinental title, leaving up for grabs at some uncertain point in time. Some folks are speculating that the title might be on the line at the upcoming Elimination Chamber event towards the end of the month… because why not?

In any case… get well, Bryan. And thanks for the memories.

Vinny Ru Strikes Again…

Apparently, a guy who just shows up out of the blue without prior announcement or acknowledgement on prior editions of the program is supposed to draw ratings right out of the gate. Maybe Vinny Ru should be writing, he seems to know what he’s doing, right?

Why is everyone laughing?

CM Punk Responds To JDF’s Harrassment

From a recent Q&A that he participated in, when asked about JDF’s constant challenges, CM Punk used the four big words above (not so much the other stuff). My thoughts on this?

Thank you, Punk, for giving validity to the very same thing I’ve been thinking for years.

Maybe now that JDF now has a definite answer to his paper challenge, he can move on with his life and do other things… like try and challenge Van Damme to a fight again and get deservedly ignored.

For Those Upset About Chyna Not Being in #WWEHOF

Link: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/723134-tna-news-tna-says-they-have-severed-ties-with-chyna-and-jeff-hardy-trial-update

I’m not saying much of anything here at the moment and I might want to touch on this further in a possible VLOG some time this weekend, but for now, I just want to leave this 2011 article from the Bleacher Report website covering the news of TNA severing ties with Chyna due to the release of her then-new porn video. And somewhere in that article, there is a rather specific blurb mentioning that her chances of being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame were slim to none now that her then-fledging porn career was in full swing. This was back in 2011.

So I leave you with this link so that you folks can read it, but I also leave you with this; if Chyna’s porn career was the catalyst in TNA (of all people) cutting their association with her after a couple appearances, what made anyone think that she had ANY chance in getting into the WWE Hall Of Fame?

Just some food for thought.

(2019 Update: Four years later, she’d be inducted as part of DX. So, this aged rather poorly… but it stays up… because it’s a historical document.)

Dat’s Not Cool…

At some point, human language has delivered a disturbing tendency to confuse “cool” with “stupid.” That would explain how someone would consider McSon-In-Law’s ridiculous looking costume to be cool.

You know what would’ve been cool? HHH in glasses and a leather jacket while riding a motorcycle. He could probably still pull that look off if he wanted to and you could’ve kept the Terminators too…

Then again,,, even Robocop would shake his head in shame at this total farce of an entrance…
