Thanks, Mark!
Steel Cage Challenge being an old NES wrestling video game and the third overall WWF game on the console, following Wrestlemania and Wrestlemania Challenge. I only vague recall play Steel Cage on the Game Gear. But I’m playing this game… and I kinda wish I wasn’t.
Good lord, this is a terrible video game.
Obviously, this being a thing I do, I’ve recorded some footage for use in a future review down the road, but… man, this is painful. I don’t think I’ll be calling him a friend for subjecting me to this tripe.
So… I’m late to the party, but I suppose I could toss in my two cents on the matter…
SquareEnix announced Final Fantasy VII would be making its way over PS4. Almost immediately, people were thinking REMAKE. Then the trailer hit… it’s just the PC port of the game with upscaled graphics; the same version of the game that you could get on Steam for PC. And then the internet, in predictable fashion, lost their shit.
So… I’m wondering. Where did this idea come from that SquareEnix announced a remake for PS4?

I haven’t bought a new game from a Gamestop or Best Buy or whoever in years…
Classic Game Room recently reached their original Kickstarter goal of $9,000 to fund the production of a 2-disc “best of” compilation featuring well over 50 CGR reviews to celebrate the show’s 15th anniversary, including a couple exclusive reviews. They’ve even surpassed the first stretch goal of $11,000 and closing in on achieving their second. Your mileage may vary as to whether it’s worth donating to something that compiles material already freely accessible online, but then nobody said anything when James Rolfe did the same thing years ago, albeit through different means.
In any case, I plopped some bucks for the DVD perk, which not only includes the “Best Of” set, but also the Classic Game Room mockumentary from 2007 that I wanted to get my hands on for a while, so done.
Check it out here if it fits your fancy;

Now featuring two generations of Sting!
Old Sting and… Old… Sting…
Oops.
Oh well, should be a fun time…
Just spent the better majority of yesterday playing Circle Of The Moon on my Game Boy Player. I know this because I have about two DVD-Rs worth of footage recorded in LP mode. That’s roughly eight hours of gameplay… That is a terrible waste of a day that has a boiling sun outside. Thank fuck for air conditioning.
But it’s been a few years since I last played COTM. God, I’d forgotten how good of a game this was.
Pat The NES Punk got his hands on a Retron 5 and… not quite promising, I must say.
Welp… so much for that…
I guess I’ll be sticking with the FC Twin.

Well, it’s been a few years, but the Nintendo Playstation is finally going to be a reality… or not.

Unfortunately, Hyperkin didn’t get the memo that it’s no longer April Fools.
But, if this is true, then hey, I got a birthday present after all.
