Silly Doodle – Go Go Pee In That Cup (Prime Edition Doodle)

This was done very quickly and very crudely… but for those wanting to believe that one kiss in the movie trailer meant the same for the “prime” universe versions of that particular pairing, you’d have to also believe that soft-spoken Trini had to… well, you know.

You could probably paint a better mental image in your brain.

Go Go Pee In That Cup (The Power Rangers 2017 Trailer)

Yeah, so I’m holding off restarting YouTube stuff until Friday. That way, I only have to worry about a “quick” DTM Rambles video and a pick-up video before starting reviews in February again.

Instead of a video for today, here’s the new trailer for that upcoming Power Rangers movie due in March. Where we get to see the suits in action for a brief instance… and they look okay. Nothing more, nothing less.

This looks somewhat promising, which is surprising to me considering how lukewarm I was to the idea initially. This has upgraded those feelings to somewhat cautiously optimistic. I may very well see this in the cinema – might as well since I saw the other two flicks and may as well keep that tradition going. If nothing else, the cup gag earned a chuckle, so that has to be worth something.

Power Rangers is due March 23.

Your New Megazord… It Sucks Ass.

So let me get this out of the way; I’m not completely sold on the new suits, but I can give them a shot if they look good in motion. And the symbiotic nature of the morphing effect means that the designs make sense. So you know what? The suits are on the verge of so-so, but I’m fine with that. I’m not hoping for anything “traditional” or closer to the show. It should feel different without leaving a horrible taste in one’s mouth.

But good lord, does this Megazord design look like ass. Just an absolutely horrible abomination of a creative black hole. This is such a ghastly and unappealing design that it makes the cruddy CGI looking Ninja Megazord featured in the original Power Rangers movie from 1995 look like a work of art, for fuck’s sake.

Funny thing is that I was fine with that one Dinozord design that looked somewhat okay-ish, but this Megazord configuration? Goddamn, kid, this looks like shit.

So… About That MMPRFilm Thing?

So with all the hooplah concerning the teaser trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers film, I’m left wondering about that other fan film thing that has made waves years ago and making grandiose promises about making a grittier take on the property. Outside of a couple trailers and one or two mini episodes of sorts, nothing has come out of this particular camp.

We’re in October… they haven’t posted a thing since May.
I’d normally make a joke about their tardiness and inability to deliver a project on schedule, but my joke exhaust ran out years ago. Right now, I’m really starting to feel bad for the folks who backed this thing in their controversial crowdfunder years ago. Some Mighty No. 9 backers might bitch and moan about getting a relatively subpar product (I’ve yet to try it myself – no real interest), but at least they got something… “better than nothing” quips notwithstanding. The poor sods who backed this thing aren’t even getting updates, let alone content worth a damn.
To date, I’ve only backed two projects; the Classic Game Room DVD set and The Space Between. One was completed and received. The other is due to make the rounds on the film festival circuit. Both are done, for all intents and purposes.
So… is this still a thing? Or is it best left forgotten by the times a proper Power Rangers movie comes out next year?

One Week… One Bloody Week…

And what happens while I take a week off from uploading shit?

– Billy Corgan, TNA president and hopeful acquirer of said company, sues Dixie Carter and the company he’s employed with because they owe him money. Goddamn, kid.

– Paige suffers another WWE Wellness Policy violation over prescription drugs they say are “illegal” and now sources on her side claim that a second opinion doctor says she needs neck surgery. WWE doctors believe otherwise; look at all the wonders our Z-Paks have done for us over the years.

– This year’s Survivor Series PPV will comprise three traditional Survivor Series style matches (almost like the earlier editions of the PPV were just that) and headlined by the “long-awaited” rematch between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg, which is being booked for the sole purpose of trying to sell more copies of the video game… because apparently Suplex City isn’t enough of a stupid idea to try and sell more video games.

– The rumored Women In Hell In A Cell match has been confirmed. Not only that, but the match between Seth Rollins and Champion Of The Universe Kevin Owens will also be a Cell match. WOW! THREE HELL IN A CELL MATCHES ON ONE SHOW! SMELL THE BUYRATE! Brace yourselves for mediocrity.

– They announced a Justice League/Mighty Morphin crossover comic… because I guess we really needed the stench of Zack Snyder in my MMPR comic books… oh wait, they’re talking about the comic version of JL, not the film… sorry, my bad.

– Another Rogue One trailer… Maybe you should’ve released this first before TFA if you wanted to get on everyone’s good nostalgic side or something.

Well… that’s something.

So Youtube videos will resume this week with a pick-up video and then straight reviews for the next few weeks. Nothing grandiose for this wave of reviews… I’m saving those for later.

First Look At The VR Troopers Reboot!

From Entertainment Weakly… er, I mean, Weekly comes your first look at the new VR Troopers reboot film that nobody knew was filming and thus was a total surprise. They’re not bad looking, but I’m somewhat confused by the decision to expand the Trooper team from three members to five. Also, I don’t get the reason why they modeled the Troopers’ colors off that other Ameri-toku-esque thing that’s more popular and stuff, but this picture surely has me excited for that VR Troopers movie.

Now if only Lionsgate can get around to showing the suits for the upcoming Power Rangers film, that would make things even sweeter!
