Monthly blog update reports.

More complete notes after the break…
Hello, folks.
Appreciate the kind words regarding Sacha and I also appreciate your patience while I (eventually) get through the grieving process. While I’m still not quite out of the woods in that regard, I can at least move forward and dedicate this stuff in her memory. I’m hoping to finish up the tribute video and post it some time this weekend. And every once in a while going forward, I’ll post a little piece of Sacha to remember the good times – whether it’d be unseen videos or the occasional photos with some stories to share. This is my way of paying tribute to a dear friend who has always been there when I needed her most. And hopefully, wherever she is, she found some peace… or at least, a good fluffy cloud to hump.
In any event, it’ll be business as usual with videos starting next Monday, with reviews resuming and continuing where we left off. Obviously, I’m winging it at this point… whatever comes up comes up, but I do have some stuff planned going forward that I’m hoping will get off the ground. Things are going to go slowly for the next month or so, but I’m hoping that things will eventually pick up by then. There’s a lot of stuff in the back burner that I want to give that final polish and hopefully, we’ll get there sooner than later.
As far as the Ramblemania Rewinds are concerned? I’ll be posting five entries every Tuesday and Thursday for the next couple weeks until we hit 30, at which point it’ll switch to a week-daily Monday To Friday one-per-day upload that will eventually lead us to Wrestlemania 40. As to when that will get a fresh new Ramblemania posting? Well, that depends on the show, I suppose.
Obviously, there was no DTM-Cast last month, but there will be a new one next week and another at the end of the month. Next week’s episode will touch on a whole bunch of things and could very clock in at two hours, while the end of the month episode will be a shorter Q&A episode. I’m also considering revising the end game for the program by adding a few more episodes to the run. That way, we can end the show in December and that will indeed mean that the Winners And Losers Of 2024 will be covered on the final episode of the show, which I plan on making extra special.
It’s been a bit of a trying period, no doubt, but we eventually gotta move forward. I appreciate your patience and support during this time and I hope to get back to doing some fun stuff here soon.
Later,
Dave
Well… it’s not quite the end of the month… but I might as well pop this up early and share some schedules and stuff. Tonight’s scheduled edition of the DTM-Cast has been scrapped and has been pushed back for next week. Given that a good chunk of the program relates to WWE news and as a result of the whole Vince McMahon/Janel Grant mess, it just didn’t feel right. So I’m redoing the episode and will put it up next week… but don’t expect me to broach this subject any further except in a future blog post.
Hello, happy new year, and all that jazz.
Some quick and hunderful updates for you all.

VECTREX WEEK
From Monday, January 29th to Friday, February 2nd, you’ll be getting daily reviews of Vectrex games. The games will pop up as they do. From there, we’ll be doing the Viewer Mail Month gimmick that was mentioned a couple months back. Should be fun.
FINAL YEAR OF DTM-CAST
In case you missed the last episode, I made the announcement that this year was going to be the final year of the DTM-Cast and that the show would be formally ending on Episode 250. The series will resume its regular monthly schedule, which means the final episode will likely land in August. I’ll go deeper into the decision to end the show on the next episode, but needless to say, this opens up the possibility for something else to fill the void in the future. We’ll see.
On that note…
POWER RANGERS REFLECTIONS – Looking Back At Cosmic Fury
In a couple weeks time, I’ll be posting my thoughts and musings on the last season of Power Rangers by bringing back the old Reflections format. I’ll be doing three such posts covering the series, along with any random thoughts that I had watching the show progress. Hopefully, this will be the start of regular updates, but no word on how we’re going to progress afterwards or how often new posts will be uploaded. Again, we’ll see.
OTHER STUFF DOWN THE PIKE
There’s other stuff in the works… but I’m not ready to announce those yet for fear of IRL stuff… is that what the cool kids call real life stuff?
Anyway, that’s it for now. Later.

ADDITIONAL BLOG NOTES
So in addition to the standard State Of The Blog updates that were posted on the old Blogger space, I’ve decided to amend these posts with additional notes regarding the slow building of this WordPress space, with the intention of eventually moving that whole blog over to this space. A lot of the stuff has made the cut and I’ve spent the better part of a year cataloguing each and every post, including everything from the Blogger site, as well as material from the old DTM Blog, Webstation, and various other things that I’ve had buried in the woodworks.
For the moment, I’m focused on getting some of the more recent stuff working and getting everything up to snuff. At the very least, I’d like to get all the video stuff and major Blogger stuff up and about before the big changeover happens. And even that depends on whether other things don’t pop up… so this additional blogger notes will keep track of all the background happenings of this WordPress space. Not much use for anyone in particular other than to keep track of things.
Yeah, so change of plans… and unfortunately, it’s not good news.
My computer is once again on the verge of crapping out and I’ve got to get it fixed. Unfortunately, that means a good chunk of plans for this month is going out the window. As such, there will be no further reviews this year. I’ll be making a formal video announcement during the weekend if possible.
Right now, I’m running off the mini PC thing I bought this summer, but it isn’t set up to do anything and obviously, is far more limited in what I can actually do with it. I am hoping on getting the Sunday Gimmick Tables up this month and with the downtime, I can get up to speed in all the text-based content for the blog due next year, so there’s a bit of a silver lining. It is extremely frustrating that these technical issues are getting in the way of moving things forward and possibly threatening some of those plans.
Maybe it’s a sign.
Anyway, right now, it’s a couple more PPV musings on the docket for sure; the Armageddon 2000 PPV and the No Way Out 2001 show. There will be a DTM-Cast or two along the way. We’ll see.
Sorry about all this, everyone. As soon as things get up to speed, I will let you know.
For anyone who missed last night’s incredible October 32nd House show, you missed the important announcement that I had last night, so go check it out around 30 minutes in and decide if it’s bigger than Tony Khan’s important announcement of tickets going on sale for a show taking place next year. I think I may have delivered the more newsworthy announcement, quite frankly.
I had a bowel movement. There’s the announcement. Moving on.
This week’s video offerings are going to be relatively slim pickings. Most of the reviews are random stuff and in the can, so I can focus on the big things in December and beyond. The TNA project ends this month and presumably that means I can go back and finish the WWF 2000 PPV musings that I have left on the table.
New DTM-Cast at the end of the month… not much else. Maybe a live stream or two.
It’s your usual monthly blog update, kids.
REVIEW FRONT
We’re resuming the two-review-a-week format, every Tuesday… well, except this week; this week, it’ll be on a Wednesday due to varying factors here and there – and every Friday. There’s some semblance of a plan in place, but otherwise, business as usual. Not spoiling any beans here because I don’t want to jinx it… TOO LATE!
Update 2023-10-03 – Only one review this week as it turns out as I’m currently under the weather. There will be one on Friday and I’ll make up for it next week.
PPV MUSINGS FRONT
PPV Musings are on hold for the moment – you can thank the 21 Years Ago In TNA project that is currently happening for this delay. The good news is that this project won’t last long. The bad news is that until this project is done, I’m minimizing the wrestling output unless there’s something newsworthy to talk about that doesn’t involve some guy with cause or something. My PPV viewings will be minimal going forward, which means I won’t be watching the WrestleDream PPV coming up tonight.
DTM-CAST
Two episodes of the program this week; one is coming next Monday, October 9th and the other will be at the end of the month. The first episode will discuss MK1 Switch woes and Very Shit Treks, while the second episode will (probably) be a deep dive into Cosmic Fury. Neither is a “bonus” episode, but after this month, we’re back to our usual monthly Cast output.
That’s about all that comes to mind. Later.
Note to self… need to stop scheduling incomplete posts for the future.
Anyway, after a long, protracted road, we finally hit 1000 reviews. It’s been a fun time, but I’m glad that it’s finally over… now we take a bit of a break this week and we’ll keep going afterwards. In the meantime, we’ve got some minor housekeeping to take care of.
REVIEWS
Reviews will resume next week and should proceed on a Tuesday-Friday upload schedule. Don’t expect anything “big” as far as what’s being reviewed, as I’m mostly finishing up some stuff that’s been on the backburner for a while. I’m also somewhat planning ahead on stuff that I want to prep for 2024 so that things turn out a bit more “smoothly.” On a sidebar, I am considering taking requests for a short while and turning that into a gimmick month of sorts. I’m working out the kinks on how I want to take these requests, but people want me to review stuff for some reason. So I’m working on that.
PPV MUSINGS
PPV Musings have slowed down considerably over the past month. I’ll be honest; I haven’t been keeping up. I’ve seen the All In show, but the musings won’t be ready for another week or so, especially in light of the recent Punk news. I’m not sure if I’m going to be watching All Out, but I made a note to check out last night’s Payback show from WWE. I still have a couple WWF 2000 PPVs to bang out sooner or later. We’ll see how things go.
POWER RANGERS REFLECTIONS
I know this has been largely dormant, but I want to bring this series of lookbacks back. I want to look at Cosmic Fury, but don’t know if I’m going to do it episode by episode or do it all in one shot since it’s going up on Netflix in one-shot. I do know that I’m going to have to catch up on Dino Fury since that’s important. While I’m not sure of it happening soon, it is something I want to bring up for 2024.
On that note…
PREPPING FOR 2024
2023 has been a trying year and while we’ve got some stuff out here and there, there’s also been prevailing circumstances that have derailed entire plans. With that in mind, I’ve been putting together some stuff that I’m hoping we’ll see the light of day in 2024, including a redo of the entire Ramblemania series that will be consistent with the recent Musings format. This may also include the return of other dormant projects.
Anyway, things will be picking up. What that actually entails is another story, but hopefully, the content train won’t totally derail.
