SurSerZZZZZ, New Review Coming Thursday

I attempted to watch the Survivor Series PPV yesterday and within the first match between the red shirts and blue shirts, I fell asleep. I don’t think I ever had a show put me to sleep as quickly as this did. So… we’ll try again later. Don’t know if I’m writing anything on this… might save it for a DTM-Cast or something.

In other blog notes, there’s a new Sunday Gimmick Table this coming Sunday, and Thursday will see a new video review.

RAW After Mania (April 6th, 2009) – A Whole Lot Of Meh…

So, there were a bunch of multi-person matches that seemed liked they were tossed together to give people something to do, capped off with a Randy Orton/Vince McMahon match that ended in a No Contest and gave us Batista giving Orton a powerbomb, causing Vince to book a match between the two at the following month’s Backlash show. Much like a Survivor Series PPV of recent years focused on the battle between red shirts and blue shirts, a lot of the show was largely forgettable fare and honestly, didn’t do much for me.

Sorry, folks. Maybe next year.

Reviews Returning Next Week

So I’ve been laxed on the review uploads as of late, as the goal of hitting 800 total video game reviews before the end of 2020 seems less likely. However, things are picking up and reviews should be returning to the blog this week. Hoping to close out on 780 and I’m sticking with mostly smaller scale reviews, but this saves the “bigger” stuff for the front load of 2021, which will come along later.

Stay tuned for more details, I suppose.

RAW (Nov. 16th. 2020) – Retri-POOP-shun Is A Mystery…

So, for reasons that escape me, I watched some bits of last Monday’s edition of RAW. I didn’t watch all of it because I’m still getting a headache from that Thunderdome stuff and I can only stomach a bit of it before I have to turn the show off. However, I was able to watch a couple major bits and figured I’d share my thoughts.

RAW After Mania (March 31st, 2008) – Flair Retires For Go-BWAH-HAH-HAH GOOD ONE PAL!

So Wrestlemania 24 saw Shawn Michaels defeating Ric Flair in what ended up being Flair’s “retirement” match. The night after on RAW, Ric Flair got a glowing tribute when they brought back the old Horsemen – Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, JJ Dillion, even Tully Blanchard – as well as some other folks who weren’t under contract with TNA and he got to cut a big speech, he teared up, he expressed his gratitude, and most people figured he’d be back sooner than later.

Then he went to TNA, had a couple bad matches, and never wrestled again… so much for the happy retirement.

Not much else worth noting here. Jericho beats CM Punk the night after he won MITB, there’s a Santino Marella vs. Maria Kanellis match that’s not worth watching, and a couple promos here and there. That’s all I can recall.
