Well, October has come and gone… we’ve had our share of fun times and not so fun times. And now we go retro… or as some people would prefer to call it, those really old games that your grandparents used to play because your parents were probably Nintendo kids… or Sega kids… okay, maybe one of them MIGHT have had an Atari Jaguar, but I highly dispute that.
Anyway, your usual long-winded, probably never gonna happen updates follow after the break.
VIDEO UPDATES
It’s Atari month as far as the review output is concerned, which means you’re getting nothing but throwaway Atari 2600 and 7800 reviews, so if your vintage is a little higher, best steer clear for the month and wait until December when we finally get those DS Castlevanias out of the way before closing out the year with some dragon questing. A large part of this is getting some quick stuff up now so that I can find some time to work on the heavier stuff to close the year out as well as start working on putting together the first batch of reviews for 2026. A bit of reshuffling on my end means that we might be doing things earlier than scheduled… but that’s still down the road.
On a side note, November sees the return of Sunday Gimmick Tables. Some oddball stuff here and there, but there’s also the Atari Flashback revisit that was supposed to happen last year and that’ll be followed by the Atari Flashback 2. We’ll see when that happens, so please stay tuned.
And that’s about it, really.
WRESTLING-RELATED UPDATES
The WCW Nitro musings will continue their weekly Thursday uploads. There’s a Survivor Series musings from last year that’s finally going to see the light of day.
OTHER NOTES
Not much else going on… I’m hoping to get a couple Bite commentaries out this month, with the intention of doing one a month going forward. No point in bringing these back from the dead if I’m just going to re-kill them again.
I’ve got some other stuff in the works, but I’ll save that for the next update. Until then, take care.
Later.
