State Of The Blog thing… I suppose the good thing is that there’s an actual schedule being followed this month as far as the video material is concerned.
VIDEO UPDATES AND NOTES
The video schedule remains in flux because I missed one day due to birthdays and bowel movements… I wish I were making this crap up. So the original plan of doing a week’s worth of Yoshi reviews is out the window and everything is spread out. The good news is that I found time during this laborious weekend to produce a few more vids for the future. The bad news is that we’ve got more to do and I’m already prepping for next year’s batch.
Believe it or not, there is a plan in motion… it just never comes to fruition because fuck Crohn.
In other video news, I’m currently in the process of whipping together some Sunday Gimmick Tables that will carry us over for the rest of the year, by which point we’ll hit fifty of these things. For the record, #50 is the first one I did and covers one of my tools. The rest… you’ll see, but there’s some fun stuff done there.
PPV (and WCW NITRO!) MUSINGS NOTES
There’s only one PPV Musings due later this month and that’s for the Slammiversary show from this past summer… let’s try and pretend that there was no early post of an incomplete version that doesn’t reflect my current thoughts on the show and the TNA product going forward. For all intents and purposes, this will be the final PPV Musing for the year and the reasons for that is outlined in that Slammiversary musings.
In its place and starting this month is another feature that’s going to last for a few months; musings on the early days of WCW Monday Nitro that I was able to watch thanks to some timely uploads onto the WCW YouTube channel (as well as a friend’s stash of DVD recordings from when the WWE Network was still a thing ’round these parts.) Much like the NWA-TNA musings, these will often be brief write-ups, with the rare exception for whenever there was an episode that I really enjoyed and have lots to say about. Unlike the NWA-TNA musings, there is an end date set in stone (by the time Scott Hall shows up in May) and for the most part, I DON’T hate this show.
Truth be told, I wasn’t sure if I was going to go through with these, especially with the passing of Hulk Hogan last July and the one thing about these Nitros is that I am harsh towards Hulk Hogan during these Nitro shows. I debated going back and changing things to make them less harsh, but decided against it. At the end of the day, these will go up as they were written and if it comes across as harsh or “too soon” as some would say, I could only shrug my shoulders and move on. That said, these Nitro musings are going to be quite a bit of fun.
OTHER NOTES
You may have noticed that the menu has taken a bit of a hit because I am an idiot who experiments with these and then do really stupid things without putting everything back in place. Right now, you’ve got reviews, wrestling musings, and a general Gallery tab. But eventually, we’ll get this working properly and hopefully, that will be the end of messing with that.
There’ll be more updates to share with you, but I’m saving those for next month. Until then, enjoy the stuff in between and take care.
