The Winners And Losers Of 2013

Yesterday’s edition of the DTM-Cast was the final episode to be posted in 2013. And in what I hope would be a regular occurence going forward, I felt it was appropriate to debut the annual Year In Review that we’d do every year around this time. So, for those who caught yesterday’s show, you’ve got a heads up on The Winners And Losers of 2013 list. And you can listen to that show here if desired.

This text version is slightly more complete than what was heard on audio, as I’ve since added a couple more entries here and there. I wanted this list to be a little more fleshed out, since I felt that last year’s list was a little lackluster in terms of picking the meat. In what I hope will be a regular occurance, I started the list early and began compiling possible nominations on the fly. Whatever comes to mind got added to the list and as time went on, the list would be revised with entries added and even dropped until the final list below.

Anywhoo… full list after the break…

1700 Posts And It Comes To This

I “attempt” to play Superman for Game Boy… from the same folks that brought Superman to Nintendo 64. TEH RINGS! And all that jazz.

Dailymotion is being a dick, as I’ve tried four different times to upload this video and two of those times, I got a message claiming that I’m not the owner of the video being uploaded. A video, mind you, that I have EDITED, DUBBED A VOICEOVER, and RENDERED MYSELF. Whatever bot is running here needs fixing. This time, it seems to be working fine… so far.

Meanwhile, the same video was posted on YouTube and went up without a hitch… so YouTubers, congratulations. You got a bonus video that I otherwise wouldn’t have posted.

What Have You Done, Microsoft?

First, there was the Xbox. Then, there was the Xbox 360. Now comes XBOX… One…

From this revelation, I’ve learned the following;

Playstation 4 > Xbox ONE
Retron 5 > Xbox ONE
Nintendo 64 > Xbox ONE
Windows 98 > Xbox ONE
Atari 7800 > Xbox ONE

Because everything is greater than ONE… and stuff.

Oh wait… almost forgot. X68000 > Xbox ONE.
Superman II > Xbox ONE.

Anybody else got some stupid Xbox One jokes? Get them out in the open before Microsoft starts retroactively purging them from existence. Or something. I don’t know. I’m going to bed. Good night.

The End of Amazing And Why I’m Cool With It

So… Amazing Spider-Man is no more… here comes the Superior Spider-Man…

I guess I shouldn’t worry about spoiling the final issue since it’s been out for a while, people know about it, and are most likely complaining about it… so if you haven’t read the book… you had your chance.

Classic Bite Commentary #105 – January 11th, 2012

(2024 Update: Unearthed for the first time in years and never before published is the lost January 11th, 2012 Bite commentary that was written before the 2012 Royal Rumble. I don’t know why I never posted this, but this would be the last genuine Bite commentary written, as the next one would be brief and the actual final commentary is more of a lookback than a commentary proper.)

Welcome to another Bite commentary… man, I haven’t done one of these in a while, have I?

You wanna know something, folks? When you have a blog that’s more convenient to use and much quicker to post thoughts online, there’s little reason to stick with a format that doesn’t quite fit. The Bite Commentaries, more than anything, were a bunch of quick thoughts thrown together. More often than not, it’s a place where I would bitch about stuff.

The Winners And Losers Of 2011

Once again, another year comes to a close and an annual tradition at the Twisted Realms takes place; the dreaded Year In Review list. This list has me saying quite a bit for each of the winners, losers, and middle grounders of 2011. Perhaps moreso than any list prior. As such, there could be the possibility of being fewer entries than usual… then again, maybe not. Let’s get going…
