Pong Quest Trailer

So this is a thing that Atari is doing at the moment; a new PONG game with RPG elements and stuff.

The visuals are an automatic turn-off for me and I’m not particularly inspired by the gameplay that they’ve displayed. It reminds me too much of that one Pong remake from the 90s; too much gimmicky bullshit to make the whole thing worth a damn.

That having been said, though, a part of me is morbidly curious about this will turn out… not enough to actually go out and fork money over for it… but whatever, right?

The Intellivision Amico Pre-Order Gameplay Trailer

So Intellivision just put out a new pre-order trailer, featuring gameplay footage from some of the games for the system. A lot of these games look to be remakes of older Intellivision and Atari games from the 1980s and others seem like the kind of games you’d find on Steam or your mobile phone. It’s not the type of thing that appeals to me – I’ve got more than enough legacy titles on a variety of legacy systems to keep me occupied and the one Intellivision Lives compilation seems to satisfy the INTV itch just fine.

Asuka Eating Rice Has More Viewers Than WWE Backstage

So WWE Backstage debuted and nobody watched it. Meanwhile, this adorable video of KANA cooking rice has more views (and potentially more viewers) than Backstage.

From the WWE ’13 hype train all those years ago. Not only does Steve Austin deliver a fine promo towards the end of the video as only he could, but he also does a better job of selling me on the video game than all these other geeks have done lately.

Take notes, geeks. This is how you sell a fucking game.

Cinemassacre's Top 50 Shitty Shark Movies

James Rolfe made a Top 40-ish Shitty Shark Movie video ages ago and he uploaded this one a couple years ago, which has been expanded to 50. Surprisingly, Sharknado does not dominate this fucking list. Besides that, I am amazed that he only  bumped the old list up to 50 because there are plenty more bad shark movies. Maybe in another five years, eh?
Honestly, I’m more disappointed that Rolfe didn’t upload his Top 10 Shark Movies video, which is worth watching if you can find. I don’t know if you can. It might still be on his website. I assume it still works. Right?

Teasing The Rise Of Hamill

In case anyone remotely cares… it’s the teaser trailer for the next and final chapter in the much-maligned sequel trilogy of thrown-together feature films with no cohesive thought behind it whatsoever.

I won’t say much here – I’ll save my thoughts for tomorrow’s DTM-Cast episode. The only thing I will say that after the time wasted on The Last Jedi and the less than enthusiastic impressions of Solo, my reaction is simply… meh. For what it’s worth, there’s a good chance I’ll probably watch it with my older bro, but in terms of excitement, optimism, or anything resembling an emotional response or the slightest hint of interest… meh.

Oh well… let it play out and see where it goes, I suppose.
