Videos produced by other people and posted on the blog because I feel that they’re worth watching. A volatile category due to videos sometimes going offline for various external reasons.
…as evidenced by this video post earlier this year.
Wow… just wow.
(2018 Update: After a long time coming, I finally found the video in question… on Youtube of all places. Hey, at least when the new owners of Impact needed cast members to fill the audience, they made an effort to pay the poor bastards. This is sad and one of many reasons why TNA under Dixie Carter was seen as incompetent.)
Obviously, someone else is on screen and I don’t know him, but he makes good points. The guy who did this awesome video has a TNA blog and it’s pretty good. Check it out here.
According to this article, Hulk Hogan is going back to be a TV pitchman and is aiming to be the next Billy Mays, who was the TV pitch-king until his untimely death in June 2009. Hogan used to do some commercials for Right Guard and the like many moons ago. And he did do an infomercial for his grill a while back.
You know what? I’m about the furthest thing from being a Hulkamaniac as you can get. I honestly don’t care for Hulk Hogan as far as his wrestling and acting careers go… but he could be a great pitchman actually. The next Billy Mays? I doubt it; Mays had that intense energy and charisma that made his informercials exciting and energetic. I doubt Hogan will be able to achieve that level, but he’s got the charisma to be almost as good and maybe make a name for himself in the field.
It’s worth a shot… if he sticks with it. And if he does, I wish him all the best.
James Rolfe’s short film, The Dragon In My Dreams, is quite possibly his best work yet… having nothing to do with Angry Nerds or Board games outside of a couple clips, it touches on a childhood memory and I almost shed a tear watching it. Good job, James.
YouTuber Cardium has compiled a beautiful clipshow detailing TNA’s attempt at Monday Night Domination. It is much better than anything I can put together, so I’ll just leave the video embedded here for all to enjoy.
The man formerly known as The Rock meets up with the man formerly known as The Coach in this brief ESPN clip. (2018 Update: Once hosted on the ESPN site, this bit has been preserved by Youtuber FreeformAggie.)
And the sad part about all this? I’d rather be watching that one brief snippet over a hundred times than sit through one showing of RAW.
Oh well, at least Shatner’s hosting this next show. Should make things interesting.
(2019 Update: Amazed that the video link still works. And so here it is in an embedded format.)
Warrior made his return to a wrestling ring some time ago at a NWE event in Europe. When Orlando Jordan shows up to heckle a young fan, Warrior beats the crap out of him in vintage Ultimate-style. He does his usual shtick (shaking on the wobbly ropes, pounding his chest like a madman) and gets a decently good reaction.
Looks like he hasn’t lost a beat. Not that what he did required much of a beat to lose, but whatever.
There’s two trains of thought in this: the longtime fan who grew up watching the Warrior will get a kick out of his long awaited return – and I mean that sincerely, since Warrior’s last stint in wrestling was less than a decade ago. And the guy who didn’t watch the Warrior, haven’t heard of the Warrior, or even care for the Warrior will be asking “Who the fuck is this guy? And why is he ripping off Batista?”
And then there’s the other train of thought that remembers his speeches… the less said, the better. In any event, who cares? I’ve embedded the video for the rest of us to share in the experience.
AVGN and Irate Gamer both claim that this level is impossible and hard as fuck. This kid disagrees with you and plays through the level. Personally, I would have done a couple things differently here and there, but other than that, it gets the message across.
