Videos produced by other people and posted on the blog because I feel that they’re worth watching. A volatile category due to videos sometimes going offline for various external reasons.
First fanfilm I saw was one with crummy costumes… but it has something there.
Second fan trailer I saw was… crap… and the creators are brewing a storm at Rangerboard.
This one… I actually like. It’s a bit short… and a bit rough around the edges… but I thought it was well done. And I liked it. Here’s hoping they’ll do more of these.
Yes, apparently this is supposed to be a fan creation of a re-imagined grim and gritty MMPR flick… god, shoot me.
This much I will give them; it looks nice and the cinematography is pretty good for a grim and gritty picture. But the voiceover is kinda crap; it’s supposed to sound menacing, but instead sound like somebody has a sore throat or something. But perhaps the most disenchanting thing about this is that, outside of the staff, there is nothing distinctly Power Rangers about this. No costumes, no robots, not even a fight or two. At least the other “grim and gritty” clip from a couple weeks back had Rangers fighting; this doesn’t even tease that.
This one’s probably not for me. I guess I’ll stick with my brand-spanking new DVDs.
Didn’t think he’d go this route, but there you go…
(2024 Update: And then a decade or so later, he’d do some “e-begging” of his own to try and fund an Irate Gamer Blu-Ray set. Not gonna rag on him for it; we all change our tune on things over time and I still find this funny, so… whatever. He gets a pass… this time.)
Part of a series of skits featuring Pizza Head, a slice of pizza with a face on it and former pitchman of Pizza Hut. Its relevance in the tag involves cross-promotion with the release of the Star Wars Trilogy Special Editions released in theaters that year.
This should make a comeback as it’d be cool with the kids today.
Let it be known right now that if I die, I want to be cremated and launched into space. I don’t want my corporeal remains to be on Earth, but in the stars.
Spoiler Alert: Mr. Wonderful was so wonderfulled by his meeting with Gary Spivey that he retired weeks later. I guess the S.O.S. pad didn’t see that in his vision. Oops.
This was out for two years… how the fuck did I miss this?
Won’t spoil anything, but it’s a fan film centered around Casey Jones and how he came to be. It’s actually pretty good with its only problem being its length; the half-hour passes by so fast that by the time I finished watching, I was like… “That’s it? I wanted more!”
