Blue Blur On Blue Stacks

Testing sample footage of Sonic 2 in Bluestacks and disguising it as an “informative video” on how to access the two Hidden Palaces in the game. This is old hat to most of you, but for those who still don’t know about this, then you’ve learned something new, I suppose.

Here’s the YouTube version for high-ish resolution viewers and people who care for that sort of thing. Also, it just occured to me that towards the final moments of the video, I had forgotten to move the mouse cursor out of the way and as such, you have a little arrow in the corner. Ruined Forever, indeed.

Fun With Outrun (GG)

Some gameplay of Outrun for Game Gear; I’m playing the Vs. Computer mode where it’s an actual race to the finish rather than the standard driving. (Spoiler: I lost. No surprise there.)

I’ve been experimenting with trying to record gameplay on a Game Gear with camcorder for the purposes of authenticity when it comes to the video review stuff. The quality is passable for the most part, but it’d get to a point where I would constantly fidget about and the screen would end up bouncing all over the play in shot… and that’s when I said, “Forget it. If I need footage for non-GB or PSP portables, I just use the appropriate emulator instead.”
