Well, that didn’t take long.

You know I went back and watched that whole thing again… and I realized that the more times I watch it, the less I start to enjoy it. It’s one of those things where repeated viewings doesn’t enhance or enrich your initial joy, but rather drain it to the point of bitter contempt.

Remember… the guys who thought this whole thing was a good idea are the guys who may potentially get their hands on the Broken Hardy stuff.

Be very afraid.

Moar Ramblings About Impact

The following is a transcript of a segment from Episode #70 of the DTM-Cast, slightly adjusted for text format.

A couple weeks ago, Impact Wrestling has finally dumped the much-maligned TNA moniker and pretty much dumped the prior management for its idiotic decision-making and things of that nature. So what we’re going to get from here on out is a new product that’s pretty much the same as the old product. A Global Force of wrestling, if you wheel… or actually, don’t wheel. It’s not worth it.

Flippin’ Called It, MF’ers!

I’d call this a spoiler, but since this was announced on the Impact Wrestling twitter, I’ll leave it out in the open.

Anyone read that long rambling post I did on the “new” Impact Wrestling. If not, give it a whirl if you’ve got nothing better to do, but I want to bring up this one blurb.

The main event was shit. Never mind the lack of excitement over a World title match between Booby Lashley and Alberto El Beevis; the match was slow, plodding, lacking any semblance of energy or anticipation. I’ve seen Giant Gonzales matches more exciting than this. On top of that, the classic cliche of TWO REF BUMPS and a BELT SHOT to give the new guy the title in a title match that the new guy got because he’s a former WWE guy… and then you have the refs bicker and that might be teasing a Dusty Finish and…

Guess what just happened? Alberto Del Paige has relinquished the World title and it’s going back to Lashley.

And so that whole main event business was completely fucking pointless!

And I fucking called it. Where’s my money?

10:56 p.m. Trash talk followed by KO leaving the ring.

10:57 p.m. KO still walking. Goldberg gives a thumbs up.

10:58 p.m. KO about to walk in, drops back down.

10:59 p.m. KO on apron, steps in ring, walks out… bell hasn’t rung yet. Waiting for Jericho to show up because of course he will.

11:00 p.m. Oh there he is. Bell rings, KO gets speared, jackhammer, match over. New champion of the universe.

Well, that was a surprise… not.

The Fastline musings will be up this Thursday on the blog for those who care. Oh, by the way, I’m copying this bit for that piece, so…
