There comes a point where you can’t go on with something because you lose interest in it. It tends to happen quite a bit, but the really sad thing is that when you lose interest in something and it gets abandoned, you tend to lose a bit of yourself in the process. This is more often than not the case.
Every once in a while, I have people asking me when the next part of Reading Sonichu is coming along and more often than not, I have no real answer for them.
But as I’m assembling the pages and putting together the audio for this thing, I realized something; why am I wasting time with this stuff? That’s when it occured to me that this isn’t interesting anymore.
Here’s the thing; the Sonichu comic/universe/fanfic/whatever is awful material. For some, it’s that so bad it’s good that makes it worth riffing. The first couple issues that I did were fun to do, but when it came to the next issue, not so much. And as I jumped further into the lore of series, it eventually got to the point where I felt genuinely uncomfortable reading this stuff, let alone producing anything to do with that whole endeavor.
Reading Sonichu was never going to be an ongoing thing. At most, I’d touch about three or four issues before calling it a day. With the two issues that I’ve done, I’m more than satisfied to call it a run.
Maybe somewhere down the line, I might upload the first few pages of issue 2 that I dubbed as an Archive package, but for now… I think it’s time to kill off the Sonichu experiment as far as this blog is concerned.
Been stuck with a nasty headache over the past couple days. Can’t seem to get much work done in regards to various projects. So I’m probably going to be taking a quick time off to take care of this and other life issues I have to deal with at the moment. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t be uploading some stuff in either video or written form. I’m fine with reviews for the moment, I got a couple canned commentaries that should be up in a short while, there’s a couple playthroughs and vlog videos being put together… and there’s some random Iron Man 3 notes that I’m compiling together.
Made the switch… it was gonna happen sooner or later… so might as well get it out of the way…
Besides, it all looks the same one way or another…
Interesting thing to note is that the site wants a “channel trailer.”
Played something called Sonic.exe… that’s apparently all the rage with the let’s players.
Hell, even Kenny is doing a run of this thing.
So, I played it… and… and… and…
I got nothing…

The other blog has a total of 1244 blog posts… the next post here officially surpasses that number. I’d do something for the occasion… but I’m saving that for 1250.
Funny thing… just a couple days ago, I actually did a couple tweaks and posted on my rarely-used WordPress blog and contemplated abandoning this one for that one… but I actually like the Blogger tools a bit better, so… Not jumping there just yet.
After what seemed like forever, but more like a couple days after a major snowstorm hit, our trusty Montreal snow removal crews are in the process of clearing the snow from our street. Thank fuck for that. Now I can get out of my dungeon this afternoon and get some last minute bits up.
Also, I’m in a mad rush to produce some content for year’s end… including the traditional 2012 in Review article.
Just got hit with a snowstorm… now it’s full of crack everywhere, mang.
You’d figure they hold off the snow until the world ends. Then I wouldn’t have a problem with that.
Oh well.
