First Zippcast… now Vidme…
Fucking hell, guys. Can’t you give me a video platform that isn’t Youtube?

Do you know, Booker?
I don’t dwell into politics here… but I want to provide a quick comment.
40 years ago, my home province passed a law designed to protect the integrity of its mother tongue.
It’s since been used to treat anyone that isn’t born here or French-speaking like the enemy.
It is, for all intents and purposes, legalized bigotry and prejudice.
This is not a condemnation of the people. People are good-natured folks.
This is a condemnation of the lawmakers who give good people the means to turn into bigots.
That’s all I’ve got to say about that.
One of these days, I will figure out how to type on this tiny ass keyboard for when I need to go someplace where hauling a much larger laptop is an inconvenience. But until then… I’ll stick with what doesn’t work and work from there.
Also, why do I have to press Spacebar twice at times for one space?
Goddamn, kid.
This country is now 150 years old… that’s older than you.
Enjoy the rain, folks. I sure as hell will.
Why is it that every time I go to a website to read an article, there’s always a video that plays automatically? More often than not, that video has nothing to do with the article in question. This isn’t a convenience. It’s a waste of time to have to scroll on a video and tell it to stop. This is especially trying when a page has multiple videos and they all play at the same time.
Or even worse; the video will still play and appear in the corner. Yeah, because if I don’t want to watch the video in a big format, SURELY I’ll want to watch the same thing in a much smaller screen tucked away in the corner.
Here’s some free advice to websites with video supplements to their articles; don’t set your videos on autoplay. If I want to watch your shitty videos, I’ll click on them myself and watch them. If I want to read the articles, then I don’t want some idiot blasting into my ears unless it’s something I’m playing on my own volition.
Goddamn, kid. I need a stiff drink.
Or fifty.
Sometimes, you just wake up in the morning and you’re left with such a ringing pain in your brain that it feels almost dehibilitating. Not even the coffee is getting the job done.
Maybe I should lay off the caffeine… or maybe I should get more coffee.
Who knows?
Anyway… off to work for me.
Tomorrow will see a review that’s… on the ball.
I think.

Spent the better part of the weekend watching a bunch of bad movies on Netflix for the purposes of putting together a bunch of Slideshow Movie Reviews. One of them is an Asylum film. On top of that, I saw another episode of Impact Wrestling against my better judgment and lasted about ten minutes before the feuding announcers did me in again.
This weekend sucked.
So here’s a post of random bits I want to touch on.
Things on the PC front is going well and slowly progressing forwards. With the second, larger hard drive installed, I’ve begun to slowly install a bunch of games on there from the Steam and GOG services, including a whole bunch of stuff I got from the Humble Bundle bundle things that I’m actually looking forward to trying out. It’s not the biggest upgrade, but it will give me a bit of wiggle room when it comes to storage and I can lay off plugging in the external drives every night. So that’ll be a nice step forwards, at least.
Weather around these parts has been ridiculous, with a couple days teasing a nice little heat wave before bombarding us with the traditional Canadian winter cold front. In fact, tomorrow, we may very bit hit with a good 20-30 cm of snow if the Weather Network can be relied on to provide an accurate forecast. They’re usually on the money, though. So I can’t complain too much there.
For those inquiring, the dog is doing fine. She’s had to take a dump in her special place indoors because trying to get her to go for a walk in Classic Canadian Winter temperatures is like trying to get Jim Cornette and Vince Russo to kiss and make up. Other than that, she’s doing fine and occupying her usual spot on the couch.
Two reviews coming for this week on the Youtubez: tomorrow’s Sonic Labyrinth and Friday will be the Goonies game that never hit the NES, but was available as an arcade machine for some reason. The Goonies game review will also be the 3100th blog post, so that’s a nice little something. Also, the next episode of the DTM-Cast due this Sunday will be somewhat on the light side unless something worth talking about comes up. More than likely, it’ll be about a couple blurbs and some Q&A. Not much else going on in these parts.
Not much else to say today. So I’ll be going now. Y’all have a good day, kids.
When you really think about it, the worst part about anything is pretty much everything.
Nothing of note would be found to have any merit.
Nothing worthwhile will have anything resembling worth.
It’s just an ideal and an idea we fool ourselves into believe.
Nothing gained from this venture or the last.
Nothing lost in those instances but time.
I’ve had enough of this mess. I’m done with it all.
Maybe when all is said and done, I’ll keep the eggs fresh.
Blow it out the other end and keep it blowing.
I’ll be seeing you later and not much better.
The rules of the road are clear as day.
But nobody I’ve met is dumber than you.
So take heed, my gentle fiend, and remember this well.
You suck the life out of anything worthwhile
And I hope you burn in Hell…
There’s a bit of demotivational dogma for you.
