Former Power Rangers stunt co-ordinator Jeff Pruitt had posted this gem about a month ago; raw footage of the “Zyu2” footage that was shot for Power Rangers and edited to hell to incorporate the Dairanger mecha in the second season. None of that is here; so now you have the original Megazord and Dragonzord fighting the various monsters of Season 2, including a couple zord fights omitted from the show altogether as well as alternate takes of certain scenes that were replaced entirely by US-shot footage. There’s not much to it, but it’s a nice little piece into the inner workings of Power Rangers and something for those who often wondered what some of those zord battles might have been like without hack-style editing that permeated the second season.

In celebration of the Bores’ “review” of the Genesis MMPR game, I’ve decided to do a commentary… due later down the line. In the meantime, here’s a compilation of my own reviews of the first wave of MMPR video games released in 1994.

Just noticed that Megaforce (the current Power Rangers season, not the 1980s cheeseball sci-fi flick) was popped onto Netflix up here. Have yet to sit down and watch, but did a quick sample of the first episode… this looks fun. Make of that what you will.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t mind doing a write-up on my thoughts on Megaforce… or maybe add it to the DTM-Cast… or maybe something else entirely… I don’t know yet… We’ll see…

Fairly interesting list that is fairly decent, even if there are a couple picks I feel don’t deserve to be there. Should make for interesting discussion, if nothing else.
