The crew of the Starship Enterprise NX-01 received some unfortunate news regarding the future of their mission. A completely tongue-in-cheek parody written shortly after news of Enterprise’s cancellation hit.
FUN FACT: This story was briefly posted on Fanfiction.Net before it was taken down due to what was deemed “disregard to proper language.” I have no idea what they mean by that, but I never made another attempt to repost the story on there, so consider this a Webstation exclusive (for whatever that’s worth.)

This “simple tale” takes place during the late-first season of MMPR. It’s a longer piece than the first “Simple Tale”, but it’s generally the same… and yes, the title makes no sense.

Technically speaking, this is chapter two… but per the story’s gimmick, each chapter takes the form of a countdown. So there you go.

Originally written and posted back in 2004/2005, Zero Hour was the third and final volume in the later dubbed ‘Breakdown’ trilogy that comprised two other fics; Shadow Of The Dragon and Breakdown. Zero Hour also served as a re-interpretation or re-imagining of the Power Rangers In Space finale, Countdown To Destruction… which basically meant taking that episode and retooling it to feature more familiar (and unfamiliar) characters, as well as making it “fit” with the continuity that linked all my old fics together.
As a gimmick and in subtle tribute to the source material this story was based on, each chapter served as a countdown to the eventual climax and conclusion of the story. So the first chapter is FIFTEEN, the second is fourteen, etc. For those wondering, there are seventeen chapters in all and I’m hoping to get them all up before the end of spring.
