I’ve made mention on the blog that I’ll be posting two entries this month. This is the first of the two while the other will be up close to the end of the month. If all goes well, something “special” will be announced on that edition. Having said that, I welcome you to the Bite and I additionally welcome you to the new Webstation. I’ll be completely honest with you; the design was done for a few months now, but I was working mostly on organization of content and division of stuff. Hopefully, this will pan out longer than the previous design (at least for the rest of the year… maybe longer.)

You’d probably notice that there’s randomly-generated banners on top once again. The good news is that unlike the first time, I know how the damn code works and things work a little more smoothly. Good thing too, because I really don’t feel like searching through my old files in fifteen different folders and reassemble everything for six hours. Yes, that’s how bad the old-style coding was for the site and that’s why the indefinitely-delayed Legacy forum (which would have displayed all the old sites in their full glory) is just that. Recent versions have more cleaner codes thanks to a refined knowledge of basic webpage creation.

Two weeks of vacation had gone rather smoothly outside of my brother’s brief stay(s) at the hospital. Good news is he doesn’t have any known heart conditions, bad news is that he’s had these panic attacks to the point where he basically can’t do anything now. Right now, he’s steadily recovering, but it’s a long road. Here’s hoping he gets better.

Other than that, things have been smooth and relaxing. Which is necessary since work is starting to get busier. That’s okay though. Work’s good for me. Especially since I get to work on some interesting stuff that passes through the pre-press stage of things.

That’s all for this edition… some of you are wondering if I neglected to mention something. Trust me, I know what’s missing. I know it’s something I touch on in every edition of the Bite since its return. But you know what? I’m not bothering with that anymore… not today anyway. If you really need my thoughts on that particular “tradition” or something, check out the Blog where the subject has been dominating as of late.

Look at that. I actually got another one up two weeks later. Of course, this is already breaking the unwritten rules associated with this revived commentary, but that’s okay. It just means I have more to say and comment on this month. If anyone has a problem with that, please push that back button now and get the hell out of here… or do something revolutionary and read my words for they shall set you free… or something.

Now, there is a bit of a confession lying between these words: there isn’t any cemented intention of making this an ongoing deal. Like I said, my hopes is to get one in once a month, but with my hecticly jumbled schedule, I’m not quite sure if I can even fit that in. I’m having hard times just posting on the blog. Rest assured that I’ll certainly have a new commentary next month for all three people reading this thing right now.

2014 Introduction
The first new Bite commentary since September 2004 was posted on June 6th, 2006 – or rather 06/06/06. Clever, huh? Well, not really.

If I recall correctly, the decision to revive the Bite came about due to the fact that Tripod’s blogging software wouldn’t publish my blog post on account of being too long, so I had to upload the whole thing as a webpage and provide a link through said blog post. So while I enjoyed writing blog posts, I didn’t enjoyed being imposed length limits to how long each blog post should be. I can happily say that, thus far, I haven’t suffered the same limitations on my current blog.

My current day thoughts and reflections (in bold, of course) will be at a minimum here, because this isn’t as ancient of a post as some of the other stuff I might toss here in the future, but I’ll chime in here or there.

2014 Fun Fact: This would be the last Bite commentary I would write for quite some time until 2006 when I decided to revive the feature for a later iteration of the DTM Webstation. It is entirely possible that the Bite was quietly retired due to more frequent posting on the original DTM Blog.

Anyway, much like before, current-day thoughts and reflections are in brackets and bold.

Oh Good GOD! It has been way too long since I wrote one of these babies. But yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. Your computer isn’t playing tricks. This is NOT a typo. This is FRESH. This is NEW. This is… me, ranting on a single page rather than on the Blog! It’s been some time since I wrote the Bite (and I’m suffering from sinuses already – fucking Quebec environment), but let’s see if we can keep up.
