WCW Monday Nitro (Sept. 25th, 1995) – Yep.

Someone had asked if there was any chance of me doing Thunder since those are also on the WCW Youtube channel… the answer is kinda, sorta no.

No, seriously, the answer is no.

And now, on with Nitro… but before we do, allow me to extend congratulations to Stephanie McMahon, future WWE Hall Of Famer and champion of VPN services everywhere! I expect many ear plugs to sell out in preparation for the oral violation that is to occur with that acceptance speech.

But enough about that! On with Nitro!

Alex Wright defeated Disco Inferno in his debut match and Disco… was a guy that existed at this point. Your mileage may vary as to whether he’s improved or not sine there. This is followed by a quick Hogan promo backstage, where he’s sporting a Tony Khan-style neckbrace duo to the Giant giving Hogan the neck screw thing. A nothing match later, we have an Arn Anderson/Brian Pillman promo hyping up Arn’s match with Flair.

The match between Randy Savage and Kevin Sullivan ends in a no-contest due to run-ins from a bunch of people. Finally, in the main event, Meng defeated Lex Luger with the Golden Spike thing in a pretty fun brawl. Not quite “two big fucks beating the fuck of each other” or anything of the sort, but still a fun brawl.

As a quick and easy 40-50 minute watch, this Nitro was fine. Stuff happened and moved forward and there were a couple fun matches. The brevity is starting to kill things a bit.

I ramble about things.

Keep your comments nice and clean and we'll be fine. Thanks.
