For those who didn’t get the opening montage of the Stargate review that went up on Friday… here’s a primer after the break.
Stargate Universe features a character named Nicholas Rush, played by Scottish actor Robert Carlyle, who also provided the voice of Gabriel Belmont a.k.a. Dracula in the Castlevania: Lords Of Shadows games.
Jason Momoa, who recently played Aquaman in the DCEU films, also portrayed a character in Stargate Atlantis named Ronon Dex, an alien being who is a runner that ends up joining the Atlantis crew. The Aquaman character is also the king of Atlantis and can send fish to eat up that little creep Barry and chew ‘im out.
Stargate SG-1, featuring Richard Dean Anderson as Colonel Jack O’Neill (with 2 Ls), featured an episode called “Window Of Opportunity” which saw O’Neill and Teal’c (played by future Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge) stuck in a time loop, which leads to the screenshot in question.
Defender II is sometimes also called Stargate, which refers to the eponymous Stargate that the player can enter to warp to another part of the level.
