TNA Impact (Oct. 24th, 2024) – The Final Push To Bound For Glory

It’s the Go Home show for tonight’s Bound For Glory PPV, which I’ll be watching and musing about… though don’t expect said musings for another week or so. Also, don’t expect any more Impact musings on a regular basis after this. Maybe once in a while, but that’s about the extent of it. I’ve got plenty of other stuff to catch up on, including prep for next week.

Anyway, this show was a better show than last week… and certainly got me a little more hyped up for the PPV than last week’s show did. Among other things, there’s a decent interview segment between Masha Slammovich and Jordynne Grace building towards their title match, there’s a contract signing for both title matches that did a good job of giving us one last push for the PPV… and then Kazarian shows up to get put through a table. There’s a vignette with Mike Santana going through his neighborhood reminiscing about old times… good character building piece.

In other news, AJ Francis won a scramble match to earn the last spot in TNA’s Rumble match for Saturday – doesn’t mean he’s going to win. There’s a multi-man tag match between the System and the Hardys/ABC where stuff happened. Jody Threat defeated the sleeping demon girl from NXT and I don’t care… but hey, that Josh Alexander/Jonathan Gresham match was pretty kickass.

Yeah, very little to say about this show. I’m looking forward to Bound For Glory. I’m looking forward to something special happening on this show. I’m looking forward to believing that TNA… will not pull a LOLTNA out of their hat and do this show right… for once.

Another time and another place, I would’ve had doubts on TNA sticking the landing on something that was actually, genuinely working. There have been times where I’d give TNA a chance and they’d do something stupid. 2024 was the first time I gave TNA an extended run since the early years of weekly PPVs and some of the worst shows in the history of humanity were being put being a ten dollar paywall. I’d like to think that when TNA brought back the old name, they didn’t bring back the old habits.

I know what needs to happen. You know what needs to happen. Let’s hope TNA knows what needs to happen… because if it doesn’t happen…

Well, I’ve got a little something waiting for them…

Later…
