Coming out of a miserable weekend on the personal side of things, but fortunately, we have another episode of TNA Impact to bring some much needed good vibes to an otherwise morbid period… never did I ever think I’d be describing TNA or Impact as anything involving “good vibes.” This truly is a new era.
Well, until the next set of tapings come along, that is… then we’ve got another “new” era of TNA to endure since the departure of one of its key figures, but we’ll save that discussion for later down the road. I’d like to keep things a little upbeat for the moment.
So the only real significant piece of business is Glow Girl’s final match in TNA, which sees her team with Jordynne Grace to earn a win over Savannah Evans and Gisele Shaw. In case anyone missed the memo, Glow Girl is back in WWE and this was a taped show.
Other than that, this was a show that was mostly moving things forward and occasionally throwing a couple decent matches your way. Alex Shelley defeated Eddie Edwards in the tremendous main event, Josh Alexander got a win over Alan Angels – yes, THAT Alan Angels of Dark Order fame… if that’s even the right word these days – and then Josh is attacked by Simon Gotch, which made me wonder if there’s an actual feud here or if Gotch saw Alexander’s face and it reminded him of Enzo Amore.
Nobody is going to get that.
There’s a lot of stories being furthered. The Shelley/Moose feud, the Sabin/Ali feud, and the PCO/Other Big Guy feud all got bits or matches to move things forward. Stuff is happening. Stuff is going on. Stuff is making sense. If I hadn’t sworn off another subscription service, I’d be tempted to check out the No Surrender show… maybe some day.
Anyway, not much else to say about this show, which remains a nice, easy two hours of wrestling that just flies by and keeps me hooked. Most of all, my spirits are lifted a bit for the moment.
