For those who don’t know, Canada recently had a federal election, the end result being Stephen Harper’s Conservatives finally having gotten their long-sought majority government. Serving as the Official Opposition in Parliament is Jack Layton’s New Democrat Party… their first time in that position actually.
Why is this remotely interesting? See, while most nominees for their riding were busy campaign, the same cannot be said for NDP Berthier-Maskinonge Candidate, Ruth Ellen Brosseau, who spent the entire campaign trail vacationing in Las Vegas. I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t even remotely aware that she actually won.
