This was a weird show – advertising it as RAW Roulette, but only feature the Roulette in a couple moments at most. We got wrestling matches tonight… wrestling on a wrestling show? You jest.
Daniel Bryan Danielson defeats Alex Riley (subbing for the Miz) in a Submission match. A short match, but hey, at least Daniel Bryan Danielson won a match, right? I wasn’t even paying attention to the promo at the beginning with Mr. What-His-Face
Edge defeats Evan Bourne in a bodyslam challenge. Edge then spears Bourne as payback for that nasty looking kick he took, which results in the next match…
Mark Henry defeats Edge in a Bodyslam Bullshit Match.
I’m not going to bother with the Song And Dance skit because it’s pretty stupid. Dibiase is a terrible singer and Michael Cole is an even worse cheerleader… I guess that’s why he’s still hired, right?
Sheamus beats John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere match thanks to some timely interference from Chris Jericho. Believe it or not, this was actually the best match of the night in my mind. There were a couple nice spots here and there (such as Morrison’s landing on the floor after being tossed off the stage) and the overall flow kept the match from being boring. That’s all I ever ask, gents. And you delivered. Kudos.
Another time-wasting promo with Chris Jericho – although the bits where he shouts at Cole are funny. He eventually wins a steel cage match over the Hart Dynasty… who are YOUR tag-team champions, by the way.
Goldust beats William Regal in a “Trading Places” match… where the whole idea is to dress as your opponent. Well, this one was short and painless, so I’ll give it that. Regal also makes a nice Goldust too. Almost a dead ringer, actually. That’s a bit creepy.
Randy Orton defeated John Cena in a tables match after he turned an Attitude Adjustment into an RKO… or maybe they just fucked up and Orton was closest to the ref or something. It’s the usual Cena/Orton borefest and they toss in five hundred run-ins for good measure… and the run-ins get pwned or something.
Overall… a meh edition of RAW. But not entirely terrible.
